Ground development steering group
Pete, what's the very latest on this. Anything to report? Have you identified how the fans will be involved? etc

Re: Ground development steering group
I must admit i was wondering about this, and when work was planned to start?
And on the 7th day god created football
Re: Ground development steering group
I was concerned that the last Pete said about it was something along the lines of "it'll happen in it's own time" which suggested to me that nobody was looking at it - certainly not urgently anyways. Things like this don't happen unless someone is committed to pushing constantly. imho of course.

Re: Ground development steering group
At the meeting in the Cross Bar PC said
1. The Steering Group would be made up from volunteer fans
2. The Group would have to sign confidentialty agreements
3. The Group would review the 3 or more sets of architects designs
4. The Group would comment on the designs
5. When these designs are back PC would choose his preferred architects
Last thing I heard was the architects have been chosen already, doesn't seem any point in 1 to 4 now
Done deal

Re: Ground development steering group
I thought he said he was choosing best of 3 architects. Then steps one to four as you put above.Roadrunner wrote:At the meeting in the Cross Bar PC said

Re: Ground development steering group
Thats pretty much spot on. The architects have been chosen and are currently working on some concepts. The ground steering group hasn't gone away, and as soon as their is something to work with i'll be in touch. They will then meet with the architect and give feedback and ideas on different things.boyliegladbach wrote:I thought he said he was choosing best of 3 architects. Re: Ground development steering group
Any idea when the Steering group of fans will be selected? My postie has threatened to put in an official complaint as I jump out on him on a daily basis, I'm worse than the cities dogs he saysUncle Peter wrote:Thats pretty much spot on. To be honest I'm not sure Mike. There are various different things to finalise but as soon as it's ready to move on I'll be on touch with everyone

Peter, Just wondering if you know at what stage the redevelopment designs are. Initial thoughts from Mr Casson were, correct me if i'm wrong, designs to be finalised in the spring, shown to fans, and then inputted for planning permission.Uncle Peter wrote:To be honest I'm not sure Mike. Knowing how long planning departments take, re-building prob wont start for another year !!!!!

Re: Re:
you are probably right we still haven`t chosen the group!.the timescale (if it`s as been stated at the meeting with paul casson) ) just wouldn`t allow reasonable debate/consultation to take place!Paul wrote:Peter, Just wondering if you know at what stage the redevelopment designs are. Right, I have news!
Paul is over mid march so over the next few days I will be putting the list of all interested parties with a view to contacting them and arranging a group meeting.
I appreciate this is taking longer than we expected but this is going to be a long process. We only get one shot at getting this right so please bear with us.

Will the group be meeting to review the Architect's latest designs ?
Re: Ground development steering group
Not having a dig but I thought the idea was to build the first new stand this summer? Maybee I understood wrongly. Can't see any way they will finalise the plans and get planning permission in time to do this.
Maybe this summer it is the pitch and the floodlights and building to start in 2016.
Can someone clarify the plan please?

That's the way I understood it it as well.Anyway, when the new stands do go up can we have them free of those annoying uprights that get in your eye-line such as on the Wilkie Stand.DaveP wrote:Not having a dig but I thought the idea was to build the first new stand this summer? Re: Ground development steering group
Pitch / floodlights first. Stand developments will most certainly go into the football season and put that part of the ground out of action. Like when current Main Stand was being built.
