I've sent one of the pitch and one of the sprinkler in use to Pete, also one of the new sign we put up in the home changing rooms, he'll probably put them on tonight.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Pete- Would you know if there are any plans to mark out the pitch closer towards the pop side-(this would obviously mean repositioning the goals but would also allow more scope to widen, narrow the pitch accordingly. Just a thought. One heck of a job to knock out those goalpost sockets regardless.
Still searching for the Young Soul Rebels

I think that would have had to have been done previous to all this work going ahead Jonty, that's a big job I would have thought at this stage, perhaps something for the future if it's what the management require.
When I took that photo today I had a close look at how it seemed to be knitting (you can't really tell from any of the pictures) and to an un-trained eye it looks pretty good, still some bare patches but overall it's getting there.

Like the team, that pitch has potential but will need more time to knit together, whether it'll be ready for the season is anybody's guess. Not being a gardener I wouldn't know for sure but it doesn't look likely to the untrained eye. Also, is anything being done regarding facilities? Is it going to be possible to take a half-time toilet break on the 'Popular-Side' in an adequately lit facility and be able to wash one's hands afterwards? Alright appointing CEO's etc. but in some areas the ground is a disgrace and isn't fit for purpose, let's start at the bottom...literally.

Yes Nige, a (decent) Portakabin has been there for months before the season ended.

Would say the pitch looks better at the stage it is now than it did this time last season!
