Perhaps they have Caller ID on the phone and they recognised your number?

Very poor effort Old Tommy. You can do better than that.

How professional is that! A quick response which made me feel I was being dealt with. All this from a club much smaller than ours.

Thats how it should be done Barrow AFC. Im still waiting for my response which is near to entering its second week without being sent

Can someone at Barrow AFC sort a former member of this forum out. This is a ridiculous situation for a club of our supposed stature. It really is not good enough.

Your email was probably deleted along with a number of others hence the lack of a reply. This has, allegedly, happened in the past.

The fact there is an active board member on the forum just makes it worse.

The "active board member" is about to look into this.

It shouldn't happen, and I apologise.

Peter, You can not do everything!!! Put you in an early grave it will, I fully understand that there's lots more to deal with at the club with all the many changes etc But someone should be answering phone calls, personal visits to the shop & e-mails, super easy to do but it's just not happening :(

Is it really so difficult to get someone to meet & great visitors to the club/shop/office with a "hello welcome to Barrow AFc how can I help you today?"

Or similarly to answer the phone in a similar manner and take messages and/or to do the same with emails.

Its not rocket science and I'm sure there would be no shortage of volunteers paid or otherwise.

On the first point I don't know if anyone at the club knows of a hit-man?
Agreed on the 2nd point about the emails, its been a absolute joke and I've heard so many complaints about it, seems nothing has changed in years. Will be interested to see the clubs response.
