Good session today from a core squad due to holidays
Ian our joiner and Pete nichols progressed the press box and completed the drain pipe on the west end of the stand with Ian Rainford while a visit from Ste casson also ensured the land down the crossbar end is cleared and flat ready for the tent. This involved cutting and removing the old fencing and posts and storing in the old garage
Curtis and I fitted an extra seat for Matthew Dodd on the camera gantry and put a hasp on the vandalised toilet door
exile covered some ground lifting and tidying and never got near a paint pot due to volume of clearing work
Gareth was doing some fine tuning on areas of the pitch with his son helping and the large pop fridge is now operational but where it will go is anyone's guess

I thought the marquee was going on the training pitch next door. The crossbar end clearing is for the beer tent going up for next season to relieve the congestion in the crossbar as far as I know.

Now that sounds like a cracking idea. That's a vote winner!

Hope they get some decent draught ales in the beer tent; Coniston's Bluebird Bitter would be doubly appropriate for the first match.

There'll be Bluebirds over the White Cliffs of Dover. :)

There is a mention of it staying up all or most of the season... Maybe options to market it to the full with a range of ideas or maybe a smaller corporate half time package for the car driving fans who like pie and peas and a soft drink after 45 mins of top action with their match ticket.... Time for a market the tent thread brainstorm

Something else would be to get an independent bookie for bets on the game and the horses on a telly and footy bets like the beer tent at cartmel
Jamie spoke about other clubs earlier last season who let fans in at reduced rates from 12 onwards and it's 2 quid or so a pint till 2.00 with reduced admission for the early bird drinkers... Maybe a route to go down
