The Darren Edmondson Thread

Post by Matty » Mon Aug 31, 2015 4:57 pm

Why is his mindset sitting back on leads? Sounded like we did at on the radio with him saying we were sat in our area at one point.

It has cost us a win today, and almost cost us a win on Saturday. Substitutions are baffling at times - taking Walker off today and at Cheltenham when he was causing problems.

Could've been a comfortable 6 point lead over the relegation zone today and sitting pretty in 11th or wherever.

I might be overreacting, and if so, what does it take for serious questions to be asked of him?

Feel it for the fans who went, very much an opportunity missed.

Defo a missed opportunity, Halifax were low on spirit , only through a mistake ( radio!) did they get their tails up! Could and should of been 2-0 done and dusted instead lose 1-3 , madness

Where's Newby? Not even on the bench. Doesn't fit in with Edmo tactics.

Dropping Newbs for an unfit Symo is a crazy decision :? Edmo has gone on record saying certain players need several league games to get fully fit, So picking Symo who missed a majority of pre-season & missed games through injury ahead of young Newbs who is on form & chomping a the bit to prove himself is as bizarre as taking Jase off when being our busiest & best player on the day for Grimes who again according to the Radio did nowt.....

Starting the Dutch lad is similar due to his lack of action also.

Is Edmo trying to kickstart these players form when the reality is his decisions are kickstarting our oppositions seasons & damaging ours, very very angry here grrrr.

No you're not over reacting. It was a wasted opportunity today against a team who haven't won in something like 11 matches. I am starting to have doubts as to whether Edmondson, Meechan and this team he's put together are up to the job.

When 2 of your main summer signings don't even make the bench ( fofana mellor ) and striker grimes is described as doing absolutely nothing when he came on (radio commentary) it is starting to worry me a tad that if Edmo got his recruitment wrong with these players because he doesn't seem to trust them/play them, time Will tell but it can't take to many more games like today before we are in the mire, also he has gone back to the players from last season who got us up but are just not good enough imo.. P.s e newby must be [SwearFilter] at not even making the bench don't get that one .. Any way roll on eastleigh

Hos recruitment has been shite and his 'tactics' lumping the ball up has been dreadful.

Believe it or not I dont like to moan but sometimes I dont have a choice.

Im not going to start calling for heads to start rolling but the fact is so far it seems recruitment, tactics, selection, set pieces (both attacking and defending) and fitness/mentality have been found seriously wanting and the book has to stop with the manager.
Talk of challenging for the play offs was always very optimistic but other than Cook I struggle to think of any of our players who would be anywhere near a starting place in a top 10 team from what we've seen so far.
Edmo really has got his work cut out because we dont have a 'Barrow' to kick start our season and the longer things stay the same the harder it'll be to turn things round

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
