Told bond had a good game today also. Maybe not got the legs but a few chorley lads say he's not only putting it in but a good bit of experience.

I was at the Halifax game away
I was at the Kidderminster game home
I was at Altrincham today.
Other games too, but 8 points gone
We murdered Halifax
Missed 2 penalties against Kiddy
Had 20 goal attempts today, yes 20.
Those 8 points (aside from all the others) and we'd be 5th in the league. One more point, and 2nd!
Need to be deadly....in front of goal particularly, and not going to sleep when we are on top.
defo, defo, defo, need someone to tap in from 8 yards.
In my opinion Lacey is poor - just not good enough for such an important role in central midfield.
From the 8 games I've seen this season, anyone can beat anyone in this league at the moment.
Nil desperandum, but we need to score.......!!!!!

Altys goal. Not one solid tackle from one end to the other.Spot the similarity to Kiddys goal. Theirs was a breakaway from our corner. Altys a breakaway from a throw-in by their corner flag . Looks like the defence switch off when we are attacking. Says it all.

Man marking terrible, too much space for the opposition to play the ball around and running straight at us with impunity.
Their No 19 was stood on the left wing numerous times with no one anywhere near him.

I'm actually gobsmacked at that.

Obviously wasn't one watching that!!!
Should of been Cowps or Lacey. (The favorate ones)

Nice piece of play from the midfielder and striker, something that we seem to lack. The midfielder ran from their right to receive the ball in midfield and one of our players (I can't make out the number) seemed to saunter after him, leaving him with plenty of space to receive and then pass the ball.

The goal was poor, but having said that, it was a defender that got their MoM and on their fans forum they gave it to Deasy. We hit the woodwork twice and it sounded on Radio C as though we were unlucky not to score. In isolation, you would accept it as one of those days that didn't go our way. Unfortunately, it's a bit of a pattern.

The Altrincham goal was a nice move but also an example of terrible defending. The Barrow player on the touchline (No 23 - Symington?) just allowed the man he was marking to run inside without following him or putting in a challenge and then that player passing the ball to a man in a central position well inside Barrow's half with not a Barrow player within 10 yards of him. Only Cowperthwaite made the effort to run after that man who made the telling pass and he looked as though he was running through treacle!

Correct Jim, it's rank poor defending and happening far too often.

Straight from a throw in we lose possession within two or three touches by Barrow players then they string eight, nine perhaps ten passes together without ONE single meaningful challenge.....that is shocking. I hope Edmo shows the players that DVD during the week and asks each Barrow player where their tackles were.

We have a [SwearFilter] poor goals against column but looking at Kiddy's goal last week and that one yesterday (two very ordinary sides) it's not in the least surprising is it?

Chester will be looking forward to Tuesday.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

symington should at least attempt to tackle the guy and grand should just move across and obstruct him,o.k. he gets booked but it stops a goal,we just seem to react too slowly when teams come at us,and WHY do we always back off?

Most of us know that Tim Deasy is more than an accomplished goalkeeper, it looks like Alty are also starting to realize it too!!!
