He didn't lack ambition if we have, like others have said, a top 8 budget

If the manager [SwearFilter] the money up the wall or can't manage what can he do - give him some more to waste ?

No full time club will survive on gates of around 1400 and with nothing made from the FA Cup during Casson's time here. How long is he going to keep propping the club up. We won promotion last season more by good luck than good management. When Edmo wa s brought in he was the cheapest option at the time and IMO the wrong man for the job and replacing him will be a costly business which Mr Casson by the sound of it is not willing to take. It sounded like a good idea at the time so I would say watch this space.

Don't think Casson lacks ambition but i do think he knows [SwearFilter] all about football. Edmonson's obviously baffled him with bullshit and he seems to believe every excuse he's given. We can all see through it but what we say, think or do doesn't seem to count for very much.

I don't think for one minute anyone can question PC's ambition, he's placed his trust (and a considerable amount of cash) totally in a management team that don't seem too clever at bringing in the right players, and definitely not good enough at getting the players they do have playing attractive football.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Bogle was never going to come here over Grimsby. I know we as Barrow fans see us as a big non league club but the league has changed now and the likes of Grimsby, Tranmere, Wrexham will always have first pick of players
As for Edmo his main problem is the unrealistic expectations people had pre season, anyone with an ounce of sense would have realised the squad we have was never going to be in the play offs

I wouldn't question PC's long-term ambition or his motives, but what worries me right here and right now is the atmosphere around the club and fans. The current Barrow AFC are such a difficult team to love. Even winning the championship last season felt slightly anti-climactic because of the manner in which it was won. I see a hardcore of brilliant supporters (and well done again today guys...) who continue to follow the club, but there is a flat feeling around HS that borders on apathy, and it is deepening by the week. I don't see hundreds more floating supporters boosting home attendances any time soon. If I was a successful businessman with a vision, and a motivation to create a lasting legacy in my home town, the last thing I would be wanting to see is a disenfranchised public. It needs addressing, and quickly.

He can't have been or Edmo would be in the 'unemployment conversation' right now.

Bogle and Cook have the same number of league goals at this time. I haven't been to every game this season but can think of around 10 clear cut chances *at least* where Cook could and probably should have scored.

Would Bogle have scored given the same chances? Would Bogle have created the same number of chances or our are we as a team creating more chances for our striker than Grimsby? If we had Cook and Bogle in the team would they have 10 goals each?

I'd probably say without looking at the stats that Bogle would have less chances at Barrow but convert a higher percentage leaving us about where we are now. Not worth the investment in my opinion as we have a great striker in Cook who works better in our present team, working hard to create his own chances.

Put them both in the same team then who knows, we could be top three or it might not work at all...

Bogle also had a 4 match run a month or so ago when he couldn't make the Grimsby starting team.

Not so Az, Grimsby fans were moaning a month or so back that Bogle and Amond (who was fantastic against us) were being left out.

OK, There are many woe's going on in & around the club and it still hurts like hell to be dumped out of the Cup at the first hurdle again especially in the alledged gutless way :( We still as a club are in a better position than we have been since 1972 & we are still gaining traction, So even though we are down right now things are taking shape & if half the words of PC ring true we could look back further down the line at these many threads & cringe with embaressment.

We don't live in an ideal word, there will be many more lows ahead but equally many highs to look forwards to, whats the well used saying, It's a Rollercoaster following BAFC..........Yes it fudging well is, Strap in folks. :scarf:
