He also said last week that Edmo would be manager in May. Hes also been quoted as saying he would like for him to be manager for the next ten years. The Tomahawk Kid wrote:The Real Slim a former member of this forum wrote:Is Casson the sort of man to eat his words if Edmo wins the next 4 games in a row?
YES! He 's already stated that Edmo has A MONTH to turn things around...he's just kicking his arse!

Re: The Darren Edmondson Thread
Not correct way to go about things imo, surely PC and Edmo should have talked it over before any announcements were made .maybe they have and that is why out in public now.
There are a few players who should be also be told to improve by end of November or goodbye.
On Saturday, the reaction between players and the dug out, left a lot to be desired and looked to me like a distinct lack of respect and on field same,no team spirit at all.

I read in the paper that eating sausages increases your cancer risk by 16%. Not sure if this is relevant but just thought I should mention itJohn_Bucks wrote:That is interesting then. I would disagree that this forum is not representative of the fan base as a whole, I think it is very much representative.Jim wrote:Summary of the situation from the NWEM:

My only comment would be that I hope Mr Casson is not unduly influenced by this forum as I don't believe it is representative of the fan base as a whole.
What you read on here, people are talking about round town.

Re: The Darren Edmondson Thread
958 Fans have voted with their feet since the first game of the season and the last home game how many more will stop going next month with the negative football that's being played under Darren Edmondson, time for a change at the top and some of the deadwood he recruited this summer.
Re: The Darren Edmondson Thread
I just watched the video of the interview with Edmo after the Fylde game he looked stressed out, so je knows he is under pressure.
I want rid of him just because he is not up to it.I do not agree with PC openly stating he has a month to sort things out ,if its true.
The Club as a whole lacks Profesionalism in so many ways.
I do not like the fact that the Hospice a Charity has had to pay us.

Many charities have an advertising budget. the hospice must have felt that for the outlay they would reach a wider audience and attract more donations directly from the club and its fans than they would spending the advertising money elsewhere?

Re: The Darren Edmondson Thread
Edmo has produced a bog-standard, leaderless, dispirited, route one team that nobody (including the owner) can take any real pride in. His marquee signings have just not performed for him which is unfortunate because they were his major decisions for strengthening for the new season.
And could anyone seriously justify or stomach another 10 years of it just because he happens to be a good bloke and he’s from Ulverston? I think we all want the same thing but ultimately it is up to Edmo to make it all happen. In the fullness of time he will be able to look back and say ‘Well, at least I did my best’. Sadly it just wasn’t good enough.

If 'losing the confidence of the fans' is a factor in keeping/losing your job, how come our Commercial Manager is still in post?
Oh yeah...

Re: The Darren Edmondson Thread
We win our next 2 then we are having a good season! Casson is putting pressure on Edmo and his players because he knows we can have a real go at the playoffs . It's wide open . I believe we have the players too make a push for playoffs but the team is not playing as a team for full 90 , just in patch's. I honestly don't believe that the likes of Dover, Gateshead , Eastleigh, Bromley have a much better team/ squad than us ! As for the boss, u can pick holes in his management , but u can every boss! I'd like too know who people would bring in , and give a 3 year deal too because you believed in them that much, it's not easy picking out a boss too carry you forward! As a football fan we live in hope , and imagine if we ko'd Wrexham then Grimsby ! Could happen . Going out the FA cup early on was bad , but in the league Barrow are currently holding out well just need 2 wins in a row and then some spirit in the camp!
Re: The Darren Edmondson Thread
This is pretty much sport on for me, without perhaps the last line. I guess I still harbour the hope that it might yet get turned around: we have put in some good performances and there is quality to be found in the team. Realistically though you may be right.Wintergreen wrote:Edmo has produced a bog-standard, leaderless, dispirited, route one team that nobody (including the owner) can take any real pride in.
