Guisley v Barrow match thread
Re: Guisley v Barrow match thread
Edmo needs to go now.
New Manager needs chance to work with players then get better ones in Jan if they do not respond.
PC needs to end this farce now.

Re: Guisley v Barrow match thread
For [SwearFilter] sake. Just heard result over in USA.
Sack him.
Don't care if we were unlucky or anything as haven't read the thread.
Another defeat to a part time team.
Got to go. Be costing me a fortune this using my data.

Re: Guisley v Barrow match thread
You can make all the excuses in the world
They were not a good side but they were better than us - if Edmo is blaming the ref then he's lost it - he picks the side / the tactics / and coaches the team. The guisley players will be back at work Monday whilst ours will be training - embarrassing
And we were a shambles - there is something not quite right at the club
I'm not a total doom and gloom merchant however and I feel confident about the future.

Dixon crap?Moribund wrote:Ref didn't get any major decisions wrong (think the only thing he got wrong were a couple of 60/40 type tackles in their favour). Stupid of Edmo to bring the ref into it.
Dixon was crap, needs resting
Livesey and S.Williams were strangely awful in the first half, Anderton's tackle was needless and reckless, Mellor the same, midfield may as well not have bothered, Newby in the defence's pocket, Howarth and Cook fluffed their only contribution, and if I've missed anyone it's because I forgot they were playing.
Guiseley are not a good side (same thing most people say every week), yet we just let them run through the defence - midfield offers absolute zero protection, which considering we've got two defensive mid players is stupid.
With a couple of good additions, some motivation and cleverer tactics, we can be decent. The players we have aren't terrible on the whole.
Time for a change.
Commentators on Radio Cumbria said he was possibly their man of the match.
Without his saves the defeat would have been much heavier.

Best example: makes a stunning save down to his left, nearly lets it squirm over the line.
Dropped one from an easy gather that so, so nearly crept in.
Then minutes later tried stopping with his face/chest instead of his hand - result: goal to Guiseley.
The Guiseley fans were giving him a hard time because they knew how nervy he looked.
Starting to think the Radio Cumbria guys watch different matches.

Dixon
Capable of making excellent instinctive saves - so should every keeper that puts on gloves at this level.
Incapable of commanding his area, makes too many mistakes, distribution poor and badly thought out, doesn't communicate with defenders well enough, and doesn't inspire any confidence...anything could happen when the ball is near him - not what you want of your regular stopper....

Stood behind Ray Wilkie for years. Best education I ever had.

Re: Guisley v Barrow match thread
Very good keeper dixon.
Re: Guisley v Barrow match thread
Tbh Dixon didn't have a good day but he gets very little protection from his defence. Under that constant pressure even Joe Hart would make as many mistakes!
The team look shot at at the minute!
Will always back the club, but today just seemed like the sad end of another chapter for the club.

Re: Guisley v Barrow match thread
We're quite clearly pretty shit - certainly defensivley - so picking on Dixon is missing the point.
Re: Guisley v Barrow match thread
Agree mark. But its getting ridiculous now,cos after every game people are now picking on decent players at the club after running out of regular scape goats. ARH, Lacey & Walker should have been in starting 11.Mark Mc wrote:Tbh Dixon didn't have a good day but he gets very little protection from his defence. Picking on ant? Hardly playground stuff mate. Fact of the matter is that if we carry on this way the "month" will be too late for us. We will be (equivalent of) drinking in last orders with toko and back to where we were. Football isn't difficult really is it? Get 11 decent playing men and 1 very good manager to beat the same in front of you. When you have the opportunity and money I see no reason why Edmo hasn't done it.ant wrote:Agree mark. Poor manager and we could get dragged into the shit.
