We could have done with some more activity in the defence, though.

Re: Official Twitter
Myself and a former member of this forum had a meeting with Paul Casson and Austin Straker on Saturday and suggested a few things, commenting on a few things etc.PRR wrote:Credit where it's due, bit more activity on Instagram, Google+ and YouTube this weekend.
With my background and experience and Azzas enthusiasm we feel we can help the club out and things can be much better. At present I'm producing a proposal document on some changes and solutions we can implement to improve the club on this front, and the upshot is myself and a former member of this forum will both be getting involved in helping the club with its online presence in the near future.

Re: Official Twitter
The main thing is for the club to be answering fans when they ask questions. The club cannot keep replying with " email the club" or on most instances not giving a reply at all.
The club can't afford to leave the fans waiting on an answer. So me and Ste would like that to change. If we can help with this for the short term then it can build a base for the club long term.

Re: Official Twitter
Yes a good move by the club - if there are a few doing it in different areas of the club then it can only be a good thing if you agree on a strategy etc.
Re: Official Twitter
What will be the success criteria of these two fans taking on the club's social media... has to be more fans through the turnstile?
Will still need formal approval from the football club to post answers ,otherwise it's personal opinion surely.
Some of the club's business is confidential until formal release date...ie players joining or departing club.
Will answering questions immediately on twitter be limited to weekends as surely they have full time employment. Just as the 16 year old student has school or college
Just a thought

Hmmm. I answered all this yesterday in one big post.
I would like to reiterate. This PROPOSAL is a short term one. If the club is serious about getting into the football league then it needs to be serious about social media. Fylde and Fleetwood do this very well and have hired people especially for this area.
Im not sure how success can be measured on this. Personally if fans start getting actual replies then Ill be happy. Its not realistic to ask every fan on match days " Is this your first time at Holker St? , are you here today because you saw the post on twitter?" so measuring success isn't really feasible.
If we are asked a question that we don't know the answer to then the club will be contacted. If someone asks "what time kick off is it on saturday?" and we reply with a time, then personal opinion doesn't really come into it. We would be posting as the club, not ourselves.
Until we get something official from the club with regards signings or releasing of players then we won't post it.
You won't have to worry about when or how often we post. That is sorted.
If you have any other questions please ask.
A great way to get your questions answered is to contact Spirit of 1990 on here. He is the fans representative to the board and (as I know through personal experience) will get your questions answered quickly.
If not there is always to option of going to the club directly and speaking to Paul or Austin. They won't bite and will welcome any sort of feedback/suggestions. I got tired of moaning about things so I went up there and got my point accross. Was good for the soul! So please don't be afraid to contact the club directly and get your point of view accross to them.
