Commercial Manager leaves

Post by tictactoe » Thu Mar 10, 2016 7:52 am

New commercial manager is Emma Athersmith.

Barrow AFC are very pleased to announce the appointment of their new Commercial Development Manager, Emma Athersmith.
Emma will begin in the role after rounding off her very successful contract, working with St Mary’s Hospice, the current shirt sponsor of Barrow AFC.

As well as having considerable experience in fund raising and in managerial roles, Emma is also an avid bluebirds fan.
Club CEO Austin Straker believes that “from the very talented field of applicants, we feel that we have been able to appoint someone who is passionate about the club, has a proven track record in a number of areas and most importantly, has the capacity to learn and to grow professionally.
Emma will help us to expand as she makes the position here her own and brings her own ideas and energy into our plans for the future of Barrow.
She is keen to develop the customer experience for the fans while retaining much of the tradition and history of the club.”

I've only ever seen the Stewrds in hi-vis jackets.

Have I been going to the wrong place all this time?

Please advise

Those polos are bloody horrific. Whoever quality checked the product before placing a PO needs a good head wobble.

Constructive criticism. Make these shirts look more presentable by 1. Ironing them and 2. Using the same type of coat hanger for every shirt. Preferable one that makes them hang nice and definitely not an Asda George leftover as per the pink shirt.

Next time use a higher grade polo and scale the badge appropriately.

At least we have more stock in the shop. It's a start.

Oh dear, cheap, nasty and awful.

The club might as well give up on merchandise, even when they try they can't get it right.

I won't be getting one of those polos, shame as I like my polos. They look so cheap, the badge is massive. It looks like a polo from the spare kit at school.

I'm interested in those jackets though, I could do with one for work. Won't be buying without seeing a photo though.

Why do we always get merchandise wrong ? I appreciate they've tried but if you are going to do something half arsed on the cheap then don't bother.

It looks like a charity shop. I hope nobody is stupid enough to buy this crap just because it's Barrow AFC. The owner is taking the fans for idiots. But some fans will buy anything.

Those polo shirts are made by the firm that supplies my work uniform so i know first hand how cheap and tacky they are.
the fact that we are selling them at £15 is even worse
