Dave, a former member of this forum, I know exactly what you are both saying & pretty much agree, all I can say in the clubs defence (and this isn't as a director, just my own personal opinion) is the people involved at the club after last seasons title winning game had to virtually start from scratch....renewing contracts, ending contracts, organising the step up from P/T to F/T, getting work done on the X Bar, the X Bar roof, sorting the floodlights to meet H&S requirements, new pitch laid, all the up-grade in equipment to look after the new pitch....I could go on and on but these are the facts so looking at the fixture list in August 2015 for the players presentation in April 2016 might not have been given the attention it deserved.
I know what I say will get picked to death with answers of what could've & should've been done but that is honestly how I see it.

I'll say (promise) right now that I will definitely bring this up with the BoDs & Emma (as soon as she gets settled in) for the 2016-17 season with hopefully the Trust being involved as well so we can all make it a better organised event for next year.

Cook or Livesey, both played well in what's been a funny old season. Most improved goes to Simon Grand, got pelters (deservedly) early on but has been pretty solid lately

A more interesting ratio would be in his match starts and substitute appearances how much it has cost the club per game.

This is it though, itll make a mockery of it when they see that Mo has the most votes because theyve used software which means you have unlimited votes so theyll just give it Cook making the whole process pointless.

Like when we voted for our kits that year. The winner was a pink and black quartered effort and it won, only for the club to say Rugby fans had hacked into it and voted for it. Silly really ever having it as an option if it would never win!

Or a relevant short list with 4-5 genuine contenders would be fine. It just goes back to the whole attention for detail stuff and before someone says we are busy with other stuff there are 100 professional football clubs in this country but many many semi pro which have proper organisational structures in place and accountable staff that does this sort of stuff with ease.

I've defended the new regime time and time and given the benefit of the doubt but Not for much longer.
