There are still tickets available and we are delighted to announce we will be joined by former Bluebird Mark Boyd and BBC Radio Cumbria's James Phillips.

Is it something the Barrow FC trust are happy to be associated with then?.
For the record I'm a Wrexham fan who ventured onto this board prior to Saturday's game purely for a taster. To see Winter booked for a fundraiser with his background surprised me.
A couple of seasons ago Winter was booked for a Wxm FC "player of the season" event. Once his background came to light, the booking was cancelled in the interests of the community club image we are striving to avhieve. Winter wasn't happy and threatened legal action. He never did take any action and walked away.

Re: An Evening with Jeff Winter
People will be going to the event to listen to funny stories about his time in football, if he steps away from that and talks a load of racist crap I'm sure the trust and the people of Barrow will let him know he's crossed the line.Red geezer wrote:Steeley wrote:To be fair there is a proven history of abuse and cover ups within the catholic church, he's on dodgy ground as hes in the public eye but its nothing you wouldnt hear jonny bloggs saying on the streets of barrow.

Hope this event is very well supported and is being organised by extremely decent, fair minded people.
