It's almost agonising waiting to find out who else is coming in..
Small squad at the mo.
What happens eg if Livesey gets a bad injury in the first match....loan players I suppose.
We had a couple of excellent ones last year - eg George Williams and Otis Shah
Maybe some players are lying in wait and its cat and mouse re contracts...
On paper we seem to have bought well, but we are not the only ones!!
Can't wait for the season proper to start..

Re: Tonights Friendly at Stockport
Maybe we've overspent on the budget already hence so many trialists
Re: Tonights Friendly at Stockport
Solid enough showing. We were rarely threatened aside from a half chance flashed against Dixon's bar on its way over.
Beeley very aggressive down the right but Stockport not really making him track back to be fair. Hughes a real handful. Good finish from Hannah. Diarra was bullied far too much but Odejayi does that to everyone according to a steward who then asked me if "our chairman is still wadded" and where Barrow was.
Interesting evening...

Stockport supporters a bit upset on their forum.
Saying we should have had 3 players sent off, our goal didn't cross the line and they were the better team. Ha ha

Goal was well over. We were behind it.
Some tasty tackles were flying in though, I'll give them that. Not sure about red cards...

Re: Tonights Friendly at Stockport
Wasn't there last night but was intrigued by the second half trialist named by the EM as Portuguese Leandro Martis. Apparently he played for Buxton against a strong Crewe last week scoring a superb 25 yarder and setting up another goal. Also Wrexham have had a Portuguese player called 'Carlos' (apparently what the manager called him) playing in two of their friendlies against local opposition and scoring three goals. Some fans think that Carlos is not his real name. To further muddy the waters or maybe cast some light, a team of Portuguese trialists have been playing several matches against varied opposition at Airbus this month possibly where we have made a connection after last weeks friendly. Who knows ?
