So....
We have beaten Carlisle and Stanley in a week without conceding a goal. We are going to win the league by a country mile next season. It's as simple as that isn't it?

Really good first half Harrison looks a real player. Poor second half by both teams. Think Accrington only had the one chance hitting the underside of the bar

First time I've seen most of the new signings; defence looks very solid led by Livesy and Beeley. Ross Hannah looks very sharp. Turnbull just the type of player you need in midfield, someone who will rat about and break up play. Not quite convinced we have enough quality out wide/breaking from midfield to really trouble the top sides but certainly looks hopeful for a top 8 season and very possibly even more

Barrow did what they had to do looked fairly solid,just need a couple of more players and we should be fine!

Agree with Hennysknee, defence looks pretty solid. Looks like Danny took a bit of a knock towards the end and was taken off, probably just a precaution.
Hughes is an absolute beast, must frighten the hell out of anyone on the opposing side who isn't 6' plus and over 15 stones! Hannah again looked really good, Harrison also looked as though he'll be a decent addition to the team.
Lots of changes the second half but we were well worthy of the win.

Another good workout against a weakened Acc Stanley side.However,we looked good as a unit and were worthy of the win.Once again the new players impressed and the right back position,which was a problem in the past,seems to have been filled by the useful/solid Beeley.Because of all the subs Accy were in the game in the last 25mins but we seemed to deal with any threat competently.
We have kept two clean sheets against league opposition although Carlisle hit the woodwork once and Accy twice but I am more than happy with what I am seeing.
Well done to Paul Cox and his team in getting together a squad that might actually do something this season.Fingers crossed.

Walked into the ground and saw Mellor jogging round.He needs to get fit but with the players we have I see no future for him here.

That's 2 wins over league 2 opposition in the space of a 3 days. Not only have we won both games but we've dominated them and were on top for the vast majority of both games. Looked very solid at the back in both games. Roll on the national league season.

Excellent pre season work out. looked sharp early doors and exciting going fwd at times and then had to work hard a be solid to hold onto the lead.

I imagine that's how it will be against the top sides this year, but we will batter some of the weaker teams if we have that hunger and desire.

How high up the "top twelve finish" do you mean? We were in the top twelve last season with an inferior side to this one.I will be disappointed if we aren't in the play offs at least.
Let's get positive for a change. What's wrong with high expectations? I am sick of the "not counting our chickens" philosophy.
