Good all round performance for me. Dixon was faultless for 99% but still is reluctant to throw the ball quickly. Nothing for him to do but the 2 first half strikes from York attacks could have made a difference if they had gone in. Solid back 4...Moussa is coming on superbly..never missed a header in defence.
Great header for first goal. Trouble with the second was that "mouthy" York skipper was so engrossed in bluffing the Referee [which did not take a lot of doing from our visitors] that his own goal reminded me of a certain Arrow88888 own goal. Really good of you "skipper".
Up front we are really good but lack the knife aka Cooky. Midfield mmm over to you Coxy...nice hearing your voice tho in the Pop side.
We are told this side has more to give....well bring it on....yeah bring it on. Can't wait. Commitment,courage,panash,skill are all there.
Let us all hope that the "no hopers" out there come along a week on Tuesday for Macclesfield and give the Club the real big lift that is needed especially for these young guns who have given a 3rd place after just a dozen matches.
Arrr Mr Brodie. Got a nice reception as he is well thought of here but sorry bud you have lost a lot of pace, put on a wee bit too much mid rift, still have the foxyness and a good head. Alas, we are not in need of you. sorry. but you take care of yourself cos U is a decent guy.

In the reverse fixture it is us that will suffer.Probably escorted into the ground and not allowed into the local pubs or bar at the ground.All because of a few tossers who are intent on causing trouble and probably know little about football.Disgusted.

Forgettable first half but the sign of a good side is being able to step it up and we did just that second half and took the points comfortably in the end. Pantomime villain aka Brodie up to his old moaning tricks again and was "warmly" clapped off by the Barrow fans when he was subbed. Nothing malicious though, he was liked when he was here and is always good entertainment when he comes back as it's pretty much nailed on he'll be moaning to the ref about something! Onwards and upwards Barrow!

Enjoyed the second half, and the league table looks fantastic tonight, but still we don't look a fully cohesive unit yet. If this team can really click, they'll take some stopping. Danny Livesey is one of the best players to wear the Barrow shirt in the last thirty years, and Jordan Williams must be an absolute dream for Coxy to have in his team - everything he does is direct. He's the engine room of the team, and I get the feeling we should enjoy him whilst we can. A word or two about Moussa Diarra. A few weeks ago I came on this forum and ripped him up for arse paper. At the time I couldn't remember ever seeing a player look more out of his depth in our team, and I criticised Coxy's judgement for letting Grandy go and bringing in such a poor replacement. I have to say that this afternoon the lad hardly put a foot wrong, and has improved tenfold. Good for him.

Also wasn't sure about Diarra at first.I don't think he was match fit and he looked like little boy lost.However,he has transformed during his time here and he is going to be an important cog in our defensive machine.

From where I was sat,it looked like he fired the ball into the perfect area only for Fry to turn it into his own net.Don't think it was a shot at goal.

Watched most of the game on J-TV with RC commentary as a backdrop, but the commentary was around 20 seconds or so lagging behind the play.

Paul Cox surely has been Barrows best signing in all my days of following BAFC.

Everything coming along nicely & 2 massive games coming up next to whet even the casual fan must be wanting to visit Holker St to have a look for themselves, Great to see 1600+ there today.

My MOTM was Yates closely followed by Danny.
