I don't know what the Holker End terrace capacity was in the 60s, but it would be a fair sized proportion of the 5 - 6,000 crowds at that time, and of course many fans changed ends to be behind whichever goal Barrow were attacking. The noise from the crowd packed under the roof was terrific; oh to be able to hear the likes of that again.

Years ago maybe 1992-1993 I worked in bury and managed to get a couple of my work mates to come to watch Barrow at horwich RMI - the atmosphere is brilliant I told them - it was one of the flattest games ever despite winning
