God help us if they ever run our club.Wintergreen wrote:It's out in the open at least, measures to recoup 'missing' funds are in place and I see no point in kicking a man when he is down. One day the Trust will run the club and lessons are being learned all the time. A very sad affair by the sound of it and no I don't know the former Treasurer.

Re: Bluebirds Trust AGM
Ill start by saying I know the gent in question and it doesn't strike me as something he would do.
Whats troubling is me is what the cash was spent on? Is there any word on what it was used for? Surely if its said that funds were spent on stock for the shop then surely that can be traced back to that shop and a receipt can be issued. Then there are no issues for both parties.

The exact details weren't divulged at the meeting a former member of this forum as the issue of what exactly happened, recovery of the cash and subsequent repercussions took up a fair amount of time! The Trust Committee's first priorities were recovering the cash and stopping it happening again but the individual concerned didn't exactly help them with this.

First you find the specifics, then you find the answers, then you find the cure.... then you get the women.

Has any of the money been paid back yet?
Re: Bluebirds Trust AGM
Is there any legally binding obligation to pay the money back or penalty for default?

Might get shot for my comments here, but here goes.boyliegladbach wrote:Has any of the money been paid back yet?
I came across a situation very similar to this 20+ years ago,
The person involved was threatened with the law unless all money was recovered within a week.
Let's just say all money was returned promptly and that was the end of it.... I am talking thousands as well.
Simple Isent it?
Never mind this staged payments rubbish. If its not yours give it back !!!!!
