We've got a canteen at work but I never use it because in my opinion the food is not varied enough and is over priced. I usually make a meal to take to work which I've made myself. If the canteen ever closed down it wouldn't bother me. However if they made the effort to improve the chow/put offers on/meal deals etc I probably would give it another go

Ticket prices for Saturdays FA Trophy tie are the same as league game prices. I think there will be many missing.

I`ll be there you are either a fan or not and you take the rough with the smooth and you can always give it "large" to the officials if the match is crap! plus i want to witness how the players react because if it`s rubbish again, people on here can come up with the "confidence " excuse

I stayed at home and did not miss a second of the action. BT Sport provided a conclusive matchday programme, with interviews from both managers throughout the game, and expert commentaries from Kevin Davies and Ronnie Moore.

Dare I say it, I could even have a dram of whiskey whilst watching the match.

A week before most get paid after getting paid 6 weeks ago. Club did nothing to promote this game or do any offers to entice more people to come. It was on TV so free to watch. Facilities havent changed in years.

Lets be realistic for a change.

I got paid on the 22nd December Ian, how many others have. Quite a few home games since then plus Christmas and new year.
Also poor from Lincoln at only £5 on their buses.

promoting the games giving kids free tickets and having some bravery with pricing might work in getting more in - we have been unlucky in that we have blocks of lots of home games

Plus if everyone is skint it's difficult - so tempting to watch on TV and save money. I'm in Barrow Saturday and first time I've been in Barrow when the football is on and I'm thinking of not going because I can't afford it

There are plenty of good reasons why people miss games, and I totally understand your's and many others Al. People like yourself travel all over the country watching Barrow but there's no getting away from it that sub 1,000 Barrovians turning up tonight is a terrible attendance for this type of game.

Splitting hairs but there were 1,028 Barrow fans tonight.
Midweek crowds are worse than Saturday crowds, before tonight we were in a bad run (we lost to the bottom of the league side on Saturday and have been playing terrible recently), it was a cold, damp night and the game was on TV (I know a fair few who watched it on TV/online rather than go to the game), we have another home game on Saturday and the Saturday after that and cash is tight for many, I can understand why we didn't get more.
