Is it possible to name and shame the official?

I think its going to be down to the managers of both teams today, via a report to the FA. He was operating within their rules and they solely allocate punishment, unless there was other claims such as bodily harm, racialism, etc. Then our legal profession would take over in response to any complaint.

If you want to expose him on social media, then be careful of your wording. It could result in legal action against you if the ref took action against any public statement made against him that was unfounded.

Prior to todays match in 8 games in 2017 had given 24 yellow cards!!! No red cards though.

With his record so far this year it must be ringing alarm bells somewhere?

Not sure but I think it was 9 yellows? His best performance yet

, beats his 7 yellows York v North Ferriby 01/01/17.

Probably the worst ref we've had this season. The trouble was, FGR saw early on how he was going to run the game and they played him for the full 90 +....we never and to be honest, I wouldn't have wanted our players to resort to them tactics.
Every single player of theirs that went down acted like a floodlight had just fell on them, not once did they simply get fouled and carry on.
Really really hope they fail again this year, horrible tactics.

I'm not usually one to comment on the performance of referees because I generally believe teams win or lose by their own making. Without blaming him for us loosing, I genuinely can't remember seeing a worse refereeing performance at Holker St this millennium! The last performance which was that bad was against Southport a long time ago when the ref was out of his depth and even allowed a goal to stand even though the physio was still on the pitch treating a Southport player!! It was therefore not surprising that the clown today was happy to let FGR player stay on the pitch after receiving treatment.

ARH's tackle in the first half was a great tackle where he won the ball, but the FGR player rolled around and got ARH booked, from then on the ref lost it and it was all down hill.

A special mention must go to Noble who is one of the most horrible players ever to grace the hallowed turf of Holker St. His 'special' relationship with the ref needs to be mentioned when Cox sends in his referee assessment. For a referee who was happy to book anyone for anything it was surprising just how many verbal assaults the ref ignored from Noble. I think it's safe to assume they must be friends...

The injured Forest Green player was allowed to stay on the pitch because a Barrow player got booked for fouling him.
It is a new law change this year.

Martin Coy refereed the Barrow v Taunton FA Cup replay.
He booked 6 players in that game.

I had to walk out I'm afraid, I've been to hundreds and hundreds of games and the ref today would not even qualify to ref a game in my back garden with the kids. What oh what do we do to deserve these egotistical useless fools trying to ref a game of football. I do hope sincerely we get this awful awful team out of this league, your tactics were [SwearFilter] awful and number 15 knobhead should be ashamed of himself. Forest Green Rovers horrible horrible team.

FGR have perfected the tactic of going down in challenges that they are not favourites to win and therefore turning it to their advantage. They do it all every time they come here. Fast becoming my least favourite side to play against. The ref set the scene early on with the ARH yellow. Credit to ARH for continuing to play with his usual tenacity for 80 odd minutes on a yellow.

Referee had a shocker, worst performance I've ever seen at this level. Assistants weren't much better neither of them alerting the ref that a FGR players hadn't left the pitch after treatment. He gave free kicks where there were no appeals for both teams, booked people for innocuous tackles/things that only he saw and the game threatened to boil over all the way as both teams became frustrated with his bizarre and wrong decisions.

Noble love him or hate him is the sort of player we need, demanded the ball used it well and covered a lot of ground. Got in the refs ear and seemed to get in his head too. Yes Coopers team always use those sort of tactics, rolling around feigning injury making the most of things but Beeley and Bennett also played for a few things it wasn't all one sided. A stronger referee would've seen through it and stamped it out early doors -sadly he wasn't and it allowed it to go from there.
