The officials brought ineptitude to a whole new level. You can't blame FGR for milking them dry, and they certainly did that!!! Just hope they reap the rewards for their antics come the end of the season and glad we don't lower ourselves to that standard of gamesmanship.

Noble is definitely a player cut from the same cloth as his manager a truly deplorable individual. But saying that we let ourselves down in the one area we have been so resolute at, DEFENDING from dead ball situations, ok two of them were probably not even free kicks.

But we were frail where we usually are strong and that ultimately cost us a share of the spoils and by hell wasn't it spoilt big time!!!

Summary :-

Referee completely out of his depth, didn't have a clue about managing a match at this level.

FGR the worst team of Cheats I've ever seen - they deserve absolutely nothing this season.

Cox got it completely wrong with his team selection/formation, should never play with one up front at home, especially with 2 strikers on the bench.

I was told by some people I know in non league circles that FGR are not a pleasant team. I'd never seen them before so I came up for the match.....FGR didn't disappoint. I hate losing at the best of times but to lose in such a way left a very sour taste in the mouth. I've seen many many football matches and played in a lot more but FGR take the biscuit. Once they saw how weak the ref was going to be they smelt blood and milked it. The ironic thing is that when they actually play football they are a good team and caused us loads of problems particularly in the second half - in that respect they deserved to win. But as for their gamesmanship (and that's putting it politely) they deserved nothing.

Agree with a lot of others on here - we also contributed to our downfall playing 4-5-1 although maybe Cox felt that was the best way to combat FGR as he knew what was coming! But most of all we defended poorly, particularly from set pieces.

We need this 10 day break from the league (still want to win they Kiddy game though) but we do need reinforcements considering the injuries we are picking up & the size of the squad

Kaiyne Woolery (no 14) who was coming to Barrow last week before Forest Green doubled our offer, looked a really useful player.
He has bags of pace and Nick Anderton struggled at times to keep him in check.
Pity we lost out getting him.

What about those of us that went to the game?

Just because there are less of us, does that make those that are there less good fans or less deserving of success?

This is one of our furthest trips, apart from Gateshead, and so will probably be one of if not our lowest turn out. We don't get big crowds, but we don't really have a large catchment area to draw them from. Our home average is over 1700 this season, which isn't that bad imo.

Turns out the penalty decision was correct - looked like a soft one given for a push in the back, but it was Cooper booting Diarra in the ankle that was the foul.

Should have had one a bit before that when Akil Wright got penalised for being cleaned out by the keeper.

FGR fans seem to think they played well - they were dreadful apart from 3 set-pieces. However bad we are to watch, it must be worse watching your players roll around on the floor for 90 mins.
