Re: In the Loop?
On the earlier question about season tickets I think we sold around 250 as that number was mentioned when priority tickets were being sold for the FA Cup matches.[/quote]
250 is such a disappointing number, a 100% increase is easily achievable with even moderate marketing.
Does anyone have season ticket figures for the previous seasons?

Perhaps when the next Focus Group is held, some of the people who have posted on this thread can offer to attend and use the opportunity to make the valid points they are raising here?
Hopefully this will allow the opinions to be passed across to the board? I'd love to be able to attend the next one, but am a bit far away to do so. There are many quirks that could do with addressing: lack of communication, floodlights, the website, promotion (of the games), etc; you will have some ideas, but if these are raised at a focus group organized by the club, well, it would ensure that the club are made aware of them. Granted the feedback to supporters hasn't been brilliant, but you can bet your bottom dollar the feedback given to the board from these focus groups is an awful lot better.

All of these points were raised last Saturday at a meeting with the Lancaster studentsRalph wrote:Perhaps when the next Focus Group is held, some of the people who have posted on this thread can offer to attend and use the opportunity to make the valid points they are raising here?

I'm surprised they are that low and agree that season tickets should and could be a lot higher. I feel that the club should be aiming for at least 500 adult season tickets. Target schemes have worked well at other clubs, when well marketed and fully publicised, and could be as simple as a "target 500" where if this number was reached the ticket price would be reduced to, for example, £250. This does need balancing with what the club make through the turnstiles but all clubs prefer money up front to help with the starting wage budget.

Number of things need to line up for things like your suggestion of "Target 500" to be successful (which I think is a good idea)
- There has to be an appetite for it from the club
- There has to be a longer term objective that initiatives like this fit into. (I.e. Getting our average gates up to 1500)
- There has to be a continued marketing drive and well publicised. Not just a tweet or a headline on the official site
There have been countless ticketing suggestions over the seasons.

The easiest, and in my opinion, most obvious way would be to implement the monitored loyalty scheme for successive years of ST purchase. It has been sent to the club, by myself, as a properly formatted option on 3 or 4 occasions.

Re: In the Loop?
Sorry, can I ask again what the wage budget is this season?
Re: In the Loop?
Well, in my opinion that's a/the massive problem right there. Communication. Diehard fans not being replied to/communicated with is inexcusable.

The more Papa Cass dithers on the redevelopment issue, the more costs go up and the more it looks like he is having second thoughts about the whole thing.

But we need to know for sure what the thinking/plan is. Or else this place will just be a constant merry-go-round of fruitless speculation, again.

At Sefton, nobody will ever/ever has given a real, genuine trustworthy (for sure) answer to such a question. Better off trying to bite the back of your own head.
