Casson will be leading the way in his cowboy boots and stetson...yeeehaa howdy partner.
Stood behind Ray Wilkie for years. Best education I ever had.

1-1 Williams for Barrow and Miller for Dover
Williams goal possibly late contender for goal of the season?

Not sure - but he definitely stood out. A good player who I am guessing will move on from Dover

Agreed, got everything. Even the nasty streak I like in a player. Hopefully his stint in the Football League will go better this time.Londonblue wrote:Not sure - but he definitely stood out. A good player who I am guessing will move on from Dover

Re: Barrow v Dover (KO 12:15) match thread
Disappointing result for the final game, however it was nice to see the majority of the 1200 fans staying to applaud the team and manager.
As for the game, a slightly odd affair. Dover were very physical but apart from Ricky Miller I didn't think they were anything special.
I thought Williams and Beeley were good for us in the first half, but in the second half we didn't create much. Harvey and Turnbull were quiet and Bennett was poor.
Ref was inconsistent and the Linesman on the popular side had a shocker, missing a number of offsides and throw ins from the wrong position.
Interesting to see who is still here after the Summer, especially after Cox's comments regarding having a better squad not full of loan players.

Very entertaining game - unfortunately, the first weekend match I have been able to attend at Holker Street this season. Dover no. 9 the standout player, to whom I award a match rating of 8/10.
A deserved Holker Street applause for the playing and management staff at the full time whistle. Well done and congratulations to Paul Casson and all at Barrow AFC on a superb season. And a personal congratulations to Mousser Diarra.
See you all at the awards ceremony tonight.

Got the last 10 minutes on the radio but 12:15 kickoff!
Forgot early kick off time on last day, missed the game, would have been one of the rare seasons I was able to get to every home game.

Good game between two sides going for it. Ricky Miler was at the heart of everything in attack for Dover and put in one of the best striker performances Ive seen at Holker Street this season.
