Improving on Attendances

Noticed we are twenty seventh in the non league attendance league, think that makes us sixteenth in the national league.

One area the club needs to work on is improving attendances, so not sure a price hike is going to help!! But what could help short term to improve numbers??

Looking a bit of a poor show there for the Bluebirds and to be honest the match day atmosphere is rather flat.

How about pre-match Speedway?

There have been plenty of ideas over the last couple of years - the club don't appear to act upon them.

You need to build up expectation and excitement.

The selling of season tickets needs to be done at an outlet in town with an advert in the paper or a competition in the paper or on local commercial/ community / hospital radio.

When the fixtures come out there needs to be a real push to get tickets on sale, free tickets in schools and really pack the ground for the first game. The match day experience needs to be improved on why can't the we have a few stalls at the back of the pop side selling some local delicacies and real ale from local brewers. What about some pre match entertainment on the pitch and in the cross bar, I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea but if you have some kids band or dance school on the pitch at half time or pre match - you get the mum and dads and aunts and uncles coming to watch as well increasing the crowd.

A junior bluebird club with events for kids hosted by bluey at all the games. Getting local businesses to provide services and events at games for "free advertising".

But we have been around the block and come up with the ideas up if the club think they are rubbish and/or don't act on them what can we do.

We never seem to get away fans that other teams seem to get and we don't have any local games - take the away fans off those figures and we go further up the league.

The employment of someone who has been in the football league before would be a start. The club needs some free thinking and a big dose of initiative.

They've done a few surveys through those students, they were referenced within the piece in the Mail about the Pop Side bogs being demolished so presumably the results are being used to inform future decisions. Waste of time otherwise.

Maybe the club should look at using the knowledge and skills of university students that study sports related degrees for example 2nd/3rd year UCFB Students with degrees in Football Business and Marketing or Football Business and Media that will be looking for employment within this industry.

The season ticket push has been decent so far IMO. Fingers crossed it continues into other things.
