Final question - why did he get sacked just before the playoffs?!!

That is still a mystery to me, although he did kick-up about the condition of our pitch, near the end, and took to the ride-on mower to cut the grass himself. ???

Think he lost the dressing room. Some of his man-management wasn't the best and ultimately it cost him as it felt like the players weren't playing for him anymore. This meant in many ways sacking him was a gamble worth taking, as we were unlikely to pick up our form for the play-offs without some sort of shake up.

First impressions yesterday were of a manager who seems to have a hands on style with the players, some needed an arm round the shoulder and others a kick up the arse! Nice to see him talking to the players who were subbed in a very positive manner.

Early days but the signs are good.
