Well, Clive, it's all about the two M's - movement and positioning.

Agree. Personally won't be attending either of the two but that's really really poor.Van Der Nipper wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2017 7:31 pm Disappointing from the club with the Trust Race Night starting an hour later.

Re: Manager Q & A
Or should have this in the Ambrose pre race night to get even more people along to support the trust
Re: Manager Q & A
The club is nothing to do with The Trust.
6:30 would give people enough time to get home, showered and attend both the Q&A, as well as the Trust race night.

Re: Manager Q & A
As Hoss and K- Man said, 18:00 would of been ideal to host the Q&A, and also allowed those that wanted to time to attend both events.
Poor as I thought bridges were being built of late. And given the fact there are people at the club that were well aware of the race night taking place. Hope they reconsider the timings.

Re: Manager Q & A
Disappointing but just one of those things. The club understandably want to strike while the iron's hot but we can't move the time or venue of the Race Night at this notice as a) We've a commitment to The Ambrose who have arranged staff etc and do a lot for us too and b) Other people who aren't as involved so much in the club are coming and you owe it to them to keep arrangements the same.
Hopefully both evenings can still be a success. I'm sure some folk involved in the Race Night will spend a short while in the Q and A first, equally it would be great of once that's finished and folk fancied another pint in a different place and a bet in a good cause, they could wander down to the Ambrose.
I hope the Q and A is a success and to see some of you in the Brose at some point.
All Barrow etc

Re: Manager Q & A
I get that the club want to milk the recent events for all its worth, especially with the feel good factor surrounding the club building momentum. But surely there can be a compromise here by tweeking the timing a little both ways, even if that's a 18:30 start for the Q&A and delaying the start of the Race Night until 20:30 then everyone gets the best of both worlds.barrowaberdeen wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2017 10:38 pm Disappointing but just one of those things. Re: Manager Q & A
Why do the club organise these kind of things with such short notice anyway
