I was there tonight. No heart, no passion worse than Shaw Lane. Only four of that team deserve to stay. The rest when they signed didn't see Barrow they saw £ signs. We want players who want to play for Barrow and I don't think many of them do please Mr Casson give Pennock the tools to do the job

so much i want to say,,,but manager on radio has just nailed it. Dont want to be here then you wont be! Players were asked to stay over night if they wanted. 3 did. should be made to do all there training in the town, then we will see who wants to be here.Never mind losing but its the manner in which you lose. Attendance is going to plummet. Should be free entrance for the next home game. How can we be on such an unbeaten run away from home and poor at HS? Easy....
they dont see anything of HS or the town except once a fortnight! No affinity with the town.
Always the optimist, will prob go and hammer Guisley now. Well its away game.

We are a shameful side who had no desire to progress. Brackley were in our noses from minute one and [1] we didn't like that [2] we couldn't handle them.
We have no invention, little skill, nil motivation and one very awful [awful] player in Makoma. Gomis had a good game but the rest were at Holker level. No disrespect to my Fathers old side intended.
Guiseley Saturday...banker home win then Sollihull banker away win. We can then start celebrating having Shaw Lane as visitors to loose against next season.
I have been watching this for over 65 years and this lot are nearly the pits.
All this aside I thought the wrong team started.

I'm not being funny Mike how many of them are really bothered, I didn't go tonight because I know deep down the majority of these players either don't care or have no fight /passion and I hope I'm wrong but Pennock seems too soft hence people like Fitzpatrick taking the [SwearFilter]!

I’d like to think that 1, They Care enough about the club that employs them & the fans who back them & failing that they take personal pride in their profession, But it sounds like I’m wrong on all fronts.

Adi has just confirmed everything they do to prepare the players for games which was very detailed & he reveled that he told or possibly asked the players to stay over in Barrow last night & ONLY TWO DID.....That’s unforgivable in my book & highlights that discipline & respect for the club & us fans just isn’t there & im livid by that.

If what you say is true regarding only two players staying over before tonight's game then that is appalling. All we can do is give the manager support for the rest of the season and just get us over the line and stay in this league. After that there needs to be an almighty clear out of the present staff. What galls me is they are professionals but they are not acting in a very professional way they did not prepare properly for the game. Considering the weather was awful today just travelling up today was a challenge and should have been to our advantage if these guys had stayed overnight. Instead Brackley came up by coach and were probably more focused right from the off. We completely shot ourselves in the foot through lack of professionalism. And while I'm on this rant I still blame Cox for destablising the club whatever many might think on here. Just imagine his smug face if they beat us on Saturday.

One of worst Barrow performances for many year but what was idea behind such a team selection? This was managements choice which had no formation or pattern ,so we started off on wrong foot.Brackley as they showed on Saturday used the wings but we did nothing again to counteract this.They were more mobile everywhere on the pitch and deserved their win.We have signed some very poor players thanks to P Cox who are getting decent wages and they need shipping out asap .This isn't the first bad display which to me shows they are not good enough or dedicated enough to play for Barrow.I just hope AP follows up his statement re players,they've had enough chances now.

Whatever people think of Cox he gave us a fantastic season last year with a superb team for this level; can’t take that away from him

Funny how our only decent player tonight was the one on a loan deal, similarly with Dunne in the first-half of the season. Having players on permanent deals tends to have the opposite effect at the moment - that they don't really care as long as they get paid.
Get in four more young loanees (presume we can only pick five), and ship out the likes of Diagne, Panayiotou, White, and Bauress. Hard to see which players Pennock would actually want to keep beyond May.

Not sure how the players can feel any pressure to perform at home, but it seems that anyone we come up against that wants to sit back and defend and chuck in the occasional counter attack will always come out on top. We show no inventiveness, no plan B, and the final ball is invariably abysmal. We probably had more shots tonight than any other game this season - all of them hit tamely straight at the keeper.

Probably would agree with the posters tonight who attributed some blame to Paul Cox. A lot of this current squad signed towards the end of his reign when he wanted away and he had other irons in the fire. That plus the less than satisfactory pre season preparations means that his successes will be more than tempered by the negative effect he has had on the club.
