Re: Pitch Inspection
Hopefully common sense prevails and we arrange it for tomorrow or Wednesday night should it be called off.Bluebarrowman wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 9:24 am Let’s hope so otherwise we will be playing two midweek games in same week

They should give it every chance to be on, they've only got to travel round the coast.barrowfan_chris wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 9:46 amHopefully common sense prevails and we arrange it for tomorrow or Wednesday night should it be called off.Bluebarrowman wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 9:24 am Let’s hope so otherwise we will be playing two midweek games in same week
If pitch is playable at the moment then call it ON. If it deteriates & has to be called off shortly before kick off then so be it, got to do everything possible to get it played today.
If not then Wednesday this week had to be utilised, last midweek option available.

🌧 | MATCH OFF:
Today’s match against @AFCFYLDE has been postponed due to some standing water on the surface with heavy rain forecast today.
Both clubs have agreed to rearrange the game for tomorrow night, 7:45pm kick off but this is subject to National League approval. https://t.co/UcV45qPmY4

I don't know what you expect Paul. The forecast is horrendous today, so I am glad they had the sense to call an early inspection to save people travelling.

Re: Pitch Inspection
If there are puddles now there is no chance it would be on if it was forecast to stop raining soon I'd have said wait. I booked and paid for trains myself just glad it was called off before getting on
Re: Pitch Inspection
You're probably right, just frustrated another home game called off this season due to rain.Middleton Nick wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 10:11 amI don't know what you expect Paul. The forecast is horrendous today, so I am glad they had the sense to call an early inspection to save people travelling.
Was just looking forward to getting out of the house (even after recent home performances)
There must be something sadly wrong with our pitch, can't remember a season with so many postponement in all my 38 yrs of support. Pitch drained better before they "flattened" the surface last year. Needs to be seriously looked at close season.
Re: Pitch Inspection
might be a better gate tomorrow night with rugbby at home today.

Re: Pitch Inspection
Absolutely agree, whoever did that work needs to be hauled back to repair the damage done and shown the debacle that is our fixture list and compare it to all the other decades previous. It's one step forward, three back in just about everything at the minute isn't it.Paul wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 10:37 amYou're probably right, just frustrated another home game called off this season due to rain.Middleton Nick wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 10:11 am
