Uncle of 2 very good friends of mine and 1st pub i drank in was the Albion when i turned 18 as I played Sunday League Football for them.
Was always happy to share his stories from his football days.

Remember watching John when he played for Barrow, training with his Ormsgill Sunday league team and playing a few games when he managed Barrow Celtic with Terry Boyle. Remember a Barrow Celtic team talk in The Albion John and Terry both wearing Malcolm Allison style fur coats, two great characters. RIP John.
