Re: Pennock Gone
Darren Edmondson is the one who fits that bill. It is ideal for him and exactly where we are right now. Will Casson go cap in hand tho?Jonty wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 12:15 pm Came into a poor, losing side and did what he had to do with the players at his disposal. Good luck to him. Barrow is a very difficult job for any Manager. Location, negativity, perception, difficult to attract the players, now with added financial constraints.
Going to need someone who knows the club and can deal with all of that.

What in summary was said?
Popular side since '03.
Re: Pennock Gone
Mutual decision between club and him, following discussions.
Fully understands reasons behind it.
Fans been great.
Whole coaching team will go.
Presumably a fuller version will be on this evening's programme.
Re: Pennock Gone
Thanks Hadrian.
Lowtower, you were funny initially but it's getting boring now.

Ya never know, it could all come up roses.
If its any consolation, my mate in Carlisel sez if Barrow think they have problems then Carlisel have bigger problems-they are really trying to do things on the cheap. He reckons Bentley will get the job their.

Re: Pennock Gone
When they appointed Moore, they acted quickly when they realised he wasn’t the right man, the cheaper option was to keep him on and see whether he could turn it around. They acted and brought in Pennock, who they felt could get us to mid table. He was able to bring his own team. Yes we avoided relegation, I’m trying to stick to facts here, but you could argue Casson feels that things still aren’t right on the managerial side. But Im not sure who could have turned that squad into a mid table side.
Still searching for the Young Soul Rebels

Re: Pennock Gone
Let's be honest he had to manage with what he was left with,Moore nor Horny could do any good with this squad but by some good away results and alot of luck he kept us up.Jonty wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 2:45 pm When they appointed Moore, they acted quickly when they realised he wasn’t the right man, the cheaper option was to keep him on and see whether he could turn it around. The logistics of all the traveling was not on for him as a person plus the cost to the club
The next appointment will be vital.
It has to be Northern based Manager who can bring in a couple of older professionals
Not sure if any of the Tranmere released players will be any good but we've got to move quick
