Yet people like Pedro wanted him to throw even more money at it, if the guy has spent £4 million it's clear he's been giving bad advice and some have taken him for a ride in that respect im glad he did throw even more bad money atLowtower wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:48 amYes, Pedro is Barrowafc.nets very own NostradamusBoltonBlue wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 7:22 pm
This fella has suffered dogs abuse consistently on here for a while now but I’m sure switched on fans are now realising ‘Pedros predictions’ are sadly mostly coming to fruition.
Who'd have thought that throwing money at it wasn't a sustainable plan ?

Re: question for Paul Casson
I think we could go over these questions ad infinitum. We could also go over all the mistakes/false optimism that we have seen over the last 4 years.
What we really need now is a statement of intent in the form of a sensible appointment of a new manager. IMO this should be someone who has some experience at National league (possibly too expensive) or nearest level below. We also need continuity - a manager who can pilot us through the next few years and build a team, while the Cassons slowly and sensibly improve the infrastructure.
I don't want to sound too impatient, but I hope that something is happening behind the scenes to put in place the 'new vision' outlined in the Statement.

Life after Casson
After taking in all the news last week im now thinking this will probably be Cassons last season. It looks like the 5 year plan to reach the league is dead and at a recent q and a Andrew Casson said commitment had been questioned. Don’t get me wrong I thank them for the 4 million or so quid. But what next for AFC that’s what I want to know. Will PC sell the club give it to the fans or trust or supporters association? What do we want? There aren’t exactly millionaires queuing up to take over but what about a business consortium who’s around? In the Keen days yes we were fan owned but it was them lot who put cash in when we needed it. I think questions need to be asked now so we don’t end up in a mess whey they decide to go.

If he loses his court case, he probably will.

Re: question for Paul Casson
Bad advice?
It was well documented by the EM (I remember seeing the photo that the EM printed) that Paul Casson visited the owner of Fleetwood Town to receive advice regarding the business machinations of running a 'successful' Football Club. Fleetwood don't seem to be doing too bad. So where has this bad advice come from?

I'm sure I've seen a thread about stuff like this somewhere.
Popular side since '03.

I concur with you Paul Casson has been negligent in the way he run Barrow AFC
The fact he spent 4 million was due to his poor choices not mine

Or are you suggesting he was more than he seemed?

Ogden was in charge of signings, Cox was the manager. Easy to blame our 3rd most recent manager for current issues though. The Tomahawk Kid wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 3:37 pmHe was a Football Manager. What did he have to do with the running of the club?

Phantom scouting trips can't have helped the club finances though.Steeley wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 4:00 pmOgden was in charge of signings, Cox was the manager. Easy to blame our 3rd most recent manager for current issues though. The Tomahawk Kid wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 3:37 pm

Mmm, and in September your second post of a total of three was this:
No agenda, eh, Timhughes?Timhughes wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2017 9:19 am It may be damaging but the supporters feel they are living in the final period of the Casson era with the very visible cut backs and cheap options. I've also been told from a couple of different sources that one of the sponsors is getting ready for a fans / community based takeover if they do back out.
It all comes 'round again.
