:scarf: :scarf: Well to be honest that was a fantastic game and to be fair to Chesterfield when they wanted to play football they could just not as good as the Bluebirds. 4-2 wouldn't have been a wrong result but 3-2 in the end earned the team a standing ovation one they certainly deserved. My only comment about the officials is how Evans the big no 5 was still on the pitch after bringing Smith down when he could have been classed as the last defender I don't know. That followed an earlier yellow and a blatant tackle on Waterson that got him nothing more than a talking to. Maybe some of the teams dropping out of the football league expect to go straight back up, they have to realise quickly this is a tough league with many ex football league teams busting a gut to get promoted and that includes Barrow.

It's only when you stand on the popular side that you realise the old codgers really don't understand this type of football! Constant moaning about playing it backwards.
Jameson was fantastic on the ball, biding his time for the right move (see our second goal), and Granite basically directing the whole team as a captain should.

Hindle my man of the match though. What a game!

Fantastic game, Barrow played really well great to see them playing as a team for each other and the manager.Shame we got another injury and the sending off but hope to see a lot more football like tonight this season :scarf:

I'll be the first to hold my hands up, couldnt see any thing other than a season of struggle based on the reduced budget and squad assembled etc but these last two home games have been a breath of fresh air and a joy to watch.
Congrats to the manager and team, magnificent game

Oh, I forgot to add that the constant flickering then subsequent failure of the light thing on the main stand slightly spoiled my matchday experience.

Had a quick chat with one or two of their fans on the way out, they seemed like a nice bunch, looking forward to seeing them again next season.

What we've just been talking about in bar, old bloke in front of us going mad at jameson for not launching the ball, seconds before his pass to make it 2-2.

And yes it was definitely monkey sounds
I thought they were mocking Chesterfields managers shouting style.
Don't think they were making monkey noises fella
