Matchday experience & The Crossbar - what can be done to turn this into the pre and post match “FanZone” get that place packed out to cater for all fan groups.

If they don't want to.. How can they be persuaded?

That’s the tricky bit....Benchmark what works at other clubs? Bit of trial and error. Initial thoughts...

- showcase local bands- usually have a bit of a following.
- invite food vendors in for themed street food for certain matches
- happy hour pre & post match,
- promotions / giveaways,
- somewhere to meet, older fans network, quizzes, games.
- Open stand, (any use) maybe Trust, selling club merchandise, advertising community initiatives etc.
- pie stand (just thought I’d get that in)

Beat the queue - Pre match / Half time drinks pre ordered and ready to pick up at a pick up area inside the Crossbar (maybe one of the out of use Corp rooms)

The pre order and pay technology is out there now, just needs a bit of drive to make it happen. Could be used for anything. Even PIES

Heres lies the problem it's almost impossible to spend money at Barrow afc once in the ground... No disrespect but when our fans travel away they spend a fortune on beer why can't our own fans do that.. Little bar behind the ray wilkie stand another in the main stand with access for a away fans.. Take control of the catering.. Yet people have been saying this for years

Thanks for posting Jonny. It was interesting hearing PH views and remit going forward.

It seems strange but i actually feel optimistic about what could happen going forward having listened to that. I have one question which is probably unanswerable at the moment.

How many Barrow fans, out of the 1200-1500 or so who turn up every week would be in a position to offer a 1000£ to the club? I honestly have no idea but it would be interesting to know what people think?
