I’d turn attention to trying to get Jason Kennedy in on loan from Carlisle now he is available

Can't comment on this lads' playing ability,though he has a wealth of experience. Do know that he recieved a standing ovation at BP a few weeks ago when he came on as a sub ending a twelve month absence from action with a pelvic injury/operation.New manager reckons he is up to speed in training but needs game time which he isn't going to get there especially as they've brought 4-5 in during the window.Suspect he needs to see whether he is a worth a new contract in the summer.Big problem with us would probably be geographical if he is settled in the Carlisle area.

If the factor is Geography, he’s not got many options. Not much difference time wise heading here as it is to Gateshead for example, and would their manager want him dropping down so many levels to play for Workington? We could be a really good option for him.

Apart from the small matter of our training base being at Rochdale !

Surely it's all part of the job of being a PROFESSIONAL football player? Think of the number of miles members of our squad do now coming to HS and trips right down South. That's their job and they get paid for it!

Kennedy spent a big chunk of his career at Rochdale, so I'm sure he wouldn't mind joining us for that reason. And we're talking about a month or two on loan - not as if he's having to uproot to join us.

Sounded on Radio Cumbria like Carlisle are desperate to get him out on loan for a while to a national league club; you would hope we’ve at least enquired

If it was a choice between Kennedy and a recognised goalscorer I would opt for the latter as that's our Achilles heel.

From scoring a wonder goal against Salford in front of the TV cameras to sat at home unemployed not knowing where his next wage is coming from & probably now due to his age unfit in just 4 weeks. Such a waste. I know most opinions are that it’s done & dusted but surely something can be done to bring him back without his ‘friends’ involvement?.
