Re: BARROW v Dover match thread
Only won once at home this year is very poor we need to sort our home form out in previous years we used to always have a good home record but we haven't had one for a few seasons
Re: BARROW v Dover match thread
A bit of nostalgia here: I was just looking for highlights (if that's the right word) on Youtube and found the 2015-16 fixture that we won 2-1. What a massive contribution Andy Cook made - oh for another striker like him next season!

Nostalgia's not what it used to be, Jim.

Oh for a striker - full stop!

And if those figures are right, 12 wins from the last 45 at home looks even more awful.AugustusCorpa wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 3:52 pmThis season with just Hartlepool to play we’ve won 8 of the 22 home league games.
Last season it was 4 wins from 23.
The season before 12 from 23.
I make it 24 wins from the last 68 home league games.

We were on the back foot as soon as Anthony Jeffrey came on. You can see what pace brings to a side. Very quick and frightens the life out of defenders. I have no idea how Dover have found themselves at the bottom end of the table but that last 20 minutes or so was possibly the best passage of play that I’ve seen from a side at HS this season. It was like a switch being pressed. We were poor to be fair, but the spirit and determintaion they showed, given their league position. You can only applaud that.

Strange that Barrow's home form has deteriorated since players now stay overnight before a match.AugustusCorpa wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 3:52 pmThis season with just Hartlepool to play we’ve won 8 of the 22 home league games.

12 wins from 45 matches.
Barrow won 12 from 23 the season before staying over.
Those figures might not be correct as don't know the exact games stopped over but staying over doesn't seem to help the team.

I think teams come here and know how we are going to set up and play and they set up to counter that. Creatively we are good but I still think we should score more from the sheer amount of possession we have in games, but I think its game management that really lets us down at times. I have lost count of being on top in games, only to come undone spectacularly. Can you remember the Gatehead game earlier in the season, first half Barrow moved the ball around so well, but we couldn’t score, ...so we make mistakes. We got beat.

Apples and pears, saltcellar.
Re: BARROW v Dover match thread
I was hoping to see some highlights from the game but can't find them. Are they too horrific to show?
