Unbeaten run, clean sheets, top of the League, still in the FA Cup. Whatever level the lad is obviously having an impact.Lets not forget he missed a huge chunk of last season and but for his 2 year contract would probably have been offered a similar deal to Wilson and Turner. He was at 'Boro for 7 years and hs plyed for England u-17 so is clearly no dummy. Plus the fact that IE presumably didn't sign him on a whim and promotional video but used contacts in the game.Lets reserve judgement until his loan spell is up and he returns. Match practice against players many of whom will be no shrinking violets can only stand him in good stead. It is what he needs and wouldn't have got at HS.

He's looked OK to me in the few games he's actually played in - rather him than Hird for me anyday.

Hird has been good since Platt has arrived

Elsdon was atrocious in pre-season this year

The problem with Elsdon, even when he was fit, was his woeful lack of pace. Not in Evatt's plans and I would imagine that when his contract is up, he will be looking for another club.
Good luck to him but that's football.
