Talking positively about the form we are in but also the importance of the fans in generating the atmosphere, Chorley atmosphere being the best experienced since being Barrow Manager, whilst the 3-0 win at home to Solihull, ground “as quiet as a mouse”.

Come on a Barrow fans, let’s get the home game atmosphere a bit more like the fantastic vocal support our followers bring to away games and don’t say “it’s different so that’s just how it is” we all know what a great atmosphere Holker Street can generate when the crowd is up for it. Tomorrow’s game gives us a great chance to keep this run going and let’s hope the crowd can really help generate the support that backs the players to another win.

Everyone keeps mentioning attendances!! If the home game atmosphere improves, it generates a buzz, word spreads, more people get down to the game.

Seem to remember there was no atmosphere at all at the big cup game v Rochdale a few years back! Which turned out to be a damp squib, however we’ve all been in the ground with under 1000 backing the players to the hilt. As for the roof thing, that unfortunately can’t be fixed by tomorrow morning, but if you think a roof helps, come and make some noise from the main stand.

I hate to seem like a nae sayer but I never see the people asking for atmosphere get up and sing. Rather follow then be embarrassed by starting summat off and no one follow

I think you missing the point here. It’s not about who starts it off, but when it does start, if others joined in from all around the ground then it would lift the atmosphere. It’s because no one else joins in that we’ve seen the atmosphere die off over the last 4-5 seasons. No problem with everyone joining in at away matches, so why can’t we do the same at Holker Street? The place should be rocking.

HS has become a bit of a morgue of late and with the team playing well and results sending us in the right direction you would like to think that the atmosphere would improve too..

Singing, chanting etc does create a buzz, it can make a difference to the guys in the pitch and it can create lasting memories for the fans of tomorrow!
Wrongly or rightly, I teach me kids all the songs albeit without the swear words so that if and when the songs start, they can join in too. My wee bit loves it to the extent that when we pass HS, he bursts into chanting"barrow barrow" the missus thinks I'm nuts but she simply doesn't understand.

A home end with no roof is a factor there is no question about that. Tuesday nights always used to be the noisier of the two days, maybe because it was dark?

Chanting, singing and even swearing does not make is thugs, it's part and parcel of football for me and the sooner HS starts to rock again, the better.

I dunno what the answer is, I'm older now and do take kids so can't get drink fueled as I used to and I guess for many that applies too? But the ultras for example were a load of passionate teenagers who in all fairness got the noise levels up! The flags, the volume, the banners were brilliant and although I wish they still existed, they too have grown up not men and woman but what's happened to the next generation? Have we sanitised the place too much? Have we tried to become to pc correct?

I admit, if I've had a few sherbets, I'm happy to start off a chant or song but sober...I'm happy to join in.

Maybe I will come into the stand jonty and try like we used to, to get the place rocking

A few like minded people start to sing and a few like minded people follow, it’s not rocket science. Crack on with it enjoy the part and difference you make. Who knows before long you may have the place bouncing, and then we can put this long debated problem of atmosphere finally to bed.
There is always going to be a more vocal support away from home, just need a few more to ensure the busses run as regular as feasible that’s all!

Get a pre game drinking spot organised and set up regular. Get a load off ale in . Get the lads to know each other feel comfortable in each others presence and off you. One man get the chants going and that stevie herbet. Nobody else with him. Does nt help a lot off big names going missing and awol on the terraces.

Ha, love it! Make a big song and dance about creating atmosphere on here then post elsewhere about it. Could only happen on here!

Herby is a very busy man most home games, it’s up to others to do their bit as he amongst others others have their work cut out helping the Trust most home matchdays. Will be at the forefront of the choir at Bromley I hope, good luck to those who made the journey.
