If we don’t break 2k this weekend then we may as well pack up and join the Furness Prem.....

What else does this team have to do to conjure up the footballing public of Furness?

I’m going 2-0 Barrow (Quigley and White) infront of 2185.

Barnet's home support is not particularly big (fan boycotts, ground no longer in the Borough of Barnet, proximity of many Premiership clubs, alternative attractions such as Borehamwood etc) and would not expect many to travel to Barrow.
One thing that struck me yesterday, having watched a couple of fan-created videos, was how impressed some NCFC fans were by the numbers that turned out from Barrow on Saturday. One in particular referred to the weather and the distance! Distance? Jeeze, this was one of Barrow's closer games for fans to reach if travelling from Furness.

Have to say, I've never seen and never expected to see the words 'attractions' and 'Borehamwood' in the same sentence, without some qualifying negative such as 'no', 'none' or 'not'.

Tongue firmly in cheek there, Arvo, though it has to be said, housing is less costly than NW London and the main street is improving. Even 'The Wellington' on Theobald Street has been done up. Probably like you though, it would not be my first choice of where to lay my hat.

Good friend of mine is a Barnet lifer. Rang me this morning to congratulate us on Saturdays win and "apologise" in advance for Barnet's performance on Saturday. They are short on confidence and lack much punch up front though (apparently) they do move the ball well box to box. Also believed to be vulnerable at set pieces. Darren Currie's star rose like a rocket in early season but is now spluttering like a wet firework. 1 win in 5. Cant remember when we've ever gone into a game with Barnet as favourites though our record against them is poor.

Given this I think they will set up a bit like Sutton did and try and hurt us on the break. Sorry guys I dont think you'll see another Notts County performance on Saturday simply because it takes both teams to want to play to create a match like that. I'd be happy with the same outcome as Sutton though.
