Great Response from Support!
£1700 in a day contributed to Play Your Part after our posts this morning.
Brilliant stuff from all of you. Even if it's just the price of a Delish pie or a raffle ticket, please keep going! Can we get to 2000 for the day? All the money goes to support our club that we own part of- and it's needed more than ever

I couldn't donate. Saying my password was incorrect when it wasn't and then when I did a change password it came to nothing. Gave up in the end. Sent a message.

Total for yesterday was £2000. That is phenomenal.
Well done everyone.

It's a good effort but would guess the club lost 10x that.Holkerbird wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2020 8:33 amThanks Steve. I got a text from Rich. He is getting Ste onto it. Re: Great Response from Support!
4 remaining games.
4 x say £25k. 100k potential loss ??
Then there contracts to pay over the summer.
Gonna need a big effort by the fans...
The games might still be played but all looking rather doubtful at the moment
Re: Great Response from Support!
The FA has so much money that they should be able to cover the losses of all clubs during this period. They won't though.
It's also time that the Premier League clubs donate a tiny percentage of their TV money to keep grass roots football alive. They won't though.

Re: Great Response from Support!
General consensus seems to be that clubs will fall into financial trouble right up and down the leagues and normally this would result in a form of punishment or points deduction etc but only thing offered to date is that due to the unprecedented outbreak , the punishment wont be handed out... yep, great help.that!
Re: Great Response from Support!
This is when the Premier-league tv money needs to filter down through the non league pyramid.

I hope a large percentage of fans who would normally go, (planned to go), to our remaining games, will still donate their gate money to the club.

Exactly what I was thinking yesterday, the FA need to be looking at what they can do with their big fat bank balances to help clubs throughout the leagues. It’s not just about the glitz & glammed of the PL.Moribund wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2020 10:00 am The FA has so much money that they should be able to cover the losses of all clubs during this period. I’ll be donating what I would’ve spent at the club yesterday. Great effort by everyone.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Skysports and BT sport should also give money to affected clubs and sports due to all the people paying them money to watch repeats all day.spirit of 1990 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2020 11:00 amExactly what I was thinking yesterday, the FA need to be looking at what they can do with their big fat bank balances to help clubs throughout the leagues.
