No, not dependent on getting league football at all, where did i say that?

Just that one job that we are getting funding for has to be completed and signed off before you can apply for another lot. Thats the way it works.

Cheers for that, the foundations look beefy as you’d expect with it facing our wind swept coast, but the air flow is a good idea, gonna look decent when it’s done

If you look at the 'lighting details' link it gives a pretty good idea of what its going to look like. (the picture is a bit dark as its showing it as if the lights were on lol)

My question would be if this is still affordable in the current climate? If not, and we were to be promoted, surely the EFL will allow a delay on ground requirements for at least a year?

My understanding is that the ground as it is has met the criteria for membership for next year, but they need 2000 seats for 2023-24 season, so a grandstand extension will be needed. Whether they extend that deadline will no doubt depend on how long the expected 'break' lasts.

Not sure if the new Holker end comes into the requirements or not.

As to being affordable - who knows?

Promotion is not dependent on the roof.

By the time the planning application is approved - assuming that it is - we should have a better idea of the effect that the corona virus and matches being cancelled has had on our finances. And of course the situation re promotion and relegation issues if the current season is not completed.

We get 75% of the cost in a grant And because they wanted to get it up for preseason they will have already spent and ordered materials steelwork booked people in to do the job so I still think it will go ahead

Fantastic news in a grim week.
On the assumption the Geotechnical surveys conducted for the proposed pre-piled foundation design structure indicates that existing foundation material at the HSE is of sufficient MPa strength to hold the design, contradictory to what was informed by the Cassons but anyhow great news that the ball is now rolling, huge boost for the fans.
