Still having to pinch myself, what a tremendous feeling. To be voted out & now the irony of getting back after another vote. Well deserved, what a season, congrats to all at Barrow AFC. After 40 yrs of supporting through the ups & downs, thought I'd never see the day. Just feels like a dream, hope I never wake up.

Like many older fans I'm a bit emotional at the moment. Still do not quite believe it. Often dreamed of what it would be like to go back into the football league. I can't believe I've become so old. I was 18 in 1972. It seemed like another lifetime ago now. Will have a drink later tonight just a cup of tea at the moment!!! Very unlike me!!! Living in Altrincham I'm going to give some Alti mates a bit of stick now as they suggested we'd never go up - to be fair it was not really meant and they were hoping we'd get the nod. I just have this urge to get in the car drive the 100 miles to Holker St beep my horn going round the ground then drive home. On second thoughts I think I will have that drink

I was 11 when we got booted out. I always hoped, but never in my wildest dreams did I ever think we’d be back in the league. Congratulations to Ian Evatt and staff, all the players, the Directors and all the volunteers. What a magnificent evening this has turned out to be.

Now we've done it.
Let's start preparing for next season and more of the same.
We can actually plan and look to get a team ready for hopefully another promotion.
We are back and not because anyone felt sorry for us because we have had to right a injustice done to us.
Never forget reading the stop press on that Friday as a 19 year old saying we had been voted out of the league.
I was in despair and watching the Ronnie Radford goal against Newcastle on TV over and over.

Never,when I was stood on the terraces in the early 70's with 200-300 hardy souls (or crackpots as the rest of the town called us) watching us lose to some nondescript team few had heard of,did I believe this day would ever happen. We had the odd glimpse that we might progress (1984,1990 for instance) but there wasn't the momentum to push on. Then Andrew Casson left us a parting gift in Ian Evatt and with Paul Hornby and co at the helm everyone has pulled together to achieve this result which in true Barrow fashion had to be dragged out . I'll be celebrating tonight with my first drink for months and ringing my Wrexham supporting son-in-law to claim bragging rights. Keep seeing 'footballs coming home' on the box. Think they are covering the wrong story.

On behalf of Barrow AFC National Supporters' Club, may I congratulate everyone concerned in this momentous achievement. I think the Cassons deserve much credit, particularly for finding one Ian Evatt. The new board, led by Chairman Paul Hornby, deserve our thanks and utmost respect. Ryan, Anya and the others (many of whom are volunteers) do a great job behind the scenes. The manager and his team have done an amazing job with limited funds. The players have risen to the occasion and we have seen, not one, but two seasons (well, almost) of superb football of a style that many said could never win anything at this level. Let's not forget Ian Rainford and his volunteers who have transformed parts of the Holker Street Stadium and continue to do so, and also the Supporters' Trust led by the inimitable Steve Herbert.

And then there's us, the fans. It is always a privilege and pleasure to be part of the Barrow support, both home and away, even when the wind and rain are screaming up the pitch and even when we lose. But never more than this last season, when the football has been the best I've ever seen in 30 years of non-league football and where the atmosphere has often been electric. Those of us who were there will never forget the wins at Bromley (when many Barrow fans actually started to believe) and Notts County (when we gave them a footballing lesson AND went top of the table), and also the home win against Sutton United, when we were down to ten men and Josh Granite was making up the numbers even though he must have been in agony. It is for all the above reasons that we deserve to be champions and deserve to be promoted to the EFL. Well done to all of us.

Yes, but let us not forget Brian Keen and his board who kept this club alive through the most difficult of circumstances. And although the Cassons didn't quite achieve what they wanted they played their part. It is a night to be happy and cheerful but also a night to reflect on whether English football has got its administration and priorities right. Let us hope we can go forward on all levels with a degree of optimism towards a better future.
