Title Winning Moment
Title Winning Moment
...not quite, but it was the kick-start our season needed. We had been blowing leads, and looked like doing it again until this happened. The rest is history.

Re: Title Winning Moment
I was at the Hartlepool defeat (also at the Stockport game as well) in September when we actually dropped into the bottom 4 think it was Platt's first game. Was really concerned. What a turnaround. I agree the Aldershot game and that penalty save was pivotal. The Notts County win really made me sit up and think anything was possible.

Fylde away for me. Everything falling into place.

Re: Title Winning Moment
Fylde was massive because we had never beaten them. When the pressure was on we beat Sutton Utd albeit not at our best. That's what won us the league, grinding out results.
Re: Title Winning Moment
Remember Ian Evatt delighted with the 1-0 home win over Aldershot where we grinded out the win. Although low down the league that was the moment we began to learn how to grind out results at home. We all expected an easy win but this was going to be the nature of games from now on with teams closing ranks on us.
Re: Title Winning Moment
Bromley away was the game I thought we might well be in the promotion shake-up. They were flying and we played them off the park - the 2-1 scoreline didn’t reflect our dominance.
Maidenhead away is when I thought we could actually win it - 4-0 and it could have been 14.
Happy days.

Fylde at home was the moment as someone not from Barrow it really felt like the town in general was starting to believe; huge crowd that day and we almost won with ten men

Yes, really enjoyed the Fylde game
We're all supporters on here. Let's leave the negative comments to the away fans
Re: Title Winning Moment
I couldn't believe we were losing matches like we did in the first 8 or 9 games, the football was there, it was daft mistakes, Matt Platt was massive and a huge turning point, thats when I saw our season change direction.

Re: Title Winning Moment
Definitely this.
Having said that and with hand on heart, I thought we had blown it after the debacle of Notts County at home. We’ll never know; everyone loves us, we don’t care!
We will follow the soccer, over land and sea...
Re: Title Winning Moment
I don't think we would have blown it. We were due to smash Wrexham remember, that would have got us right back on track. Notts and Harrogate had Trophy games to play.

Re: Title Winning Moment
One of the highlights of the season for me was Scott Quigley putting us 1-0 up in front of a packed Holker Street on Boxing Day having just been reduced to 10 men against Fylde.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 12:19 pm Fylde at home was the moment as someone not from Barrow it really felt like the town in general was starting to believe; huge crowd that day and we almost won with ten men
