What you have achieved in your job makes the cv attractive, not the size of the organisation you are with.

That's what I thought. If he wasn't interested though I would have thought he'd have ruled it out publicly. I believe he must at least want to speak to them.

If true this is a nightmare. Evatt seems to have been a bit of a one-off character upon which our entire promotion was built. Who the hell would replace him? The wrong choice and things could go to shit in a hurry.

Never works like that. It’s supposed to but it doesn’t, same for footballers.

I’d rather him go now than in six months in silly season when clubs are getting shot of their managers. At least this way we’ve got a chance to organise things.

We have a good , indeed a very good team , the majority of whom are signed up for next season . We have every reason to be hopeful whatever happens next. We all need to believe. The club , the town , the supporters . Together we are all bigger than one man , no matter how great he is. If a key person leaves , and he may not, we carry on in strength and belief. The whole is worth more than the sum of the parts.

Deffo don't want to see him go but shit happens, get the payment in full & we move on! we've had managers before Evo & we will after. No one person is bigger than the club. We just have to hope the board choose the right person for the right reasons should Evo go #BTID

While I agree with the sentiment, Evo's combination of man management and footballing philosophy were huge factors. Tough to replace.

I hope i'm wrong but i might have to eat my words I'm really disappointed with Ian if he goes i could have understood if it was after we'd been in league 2 for at least a season but we haven't even started if true feels like a kick in the teeth!

Very much my view. It's more than losing the Manager. He has had an impact beyond what is on the pitch. Managers have their own style, some of these players wont fit that, may not he may not connect with the fans/ the community. I know, its football, its what happens, but we dont have that stability yet and unproven as a league club, his departure would make our return to EFL a lot more difficult. He said himself, he's a rookie manager. One more season with us will help him and set us on our way.

I agree with you both. If he goes it will hurt a lot. And it will hurt the squad. Listening to interviews they clearly play for him and respect what he's done for their careers. Who knows what impact a different manager would have.
I wouldn't mind quite so much if his possible move was to a club in League One but to go to this shower in the same league as us would be, as you say, a real kick in the teeth.
