It's not currently cost effective to install crush barriers (which they would have to) as it would then reduce the capacity so much anyway you'd be spending over 1k per spectator who could then stand there.

None. It will more than likely be closed off at either end. Just one of the things that will have to change on a match day to allow the club to comply with EFL rules, regs and H&S.

It is something to do with the lack of distance between the pitchside wall and the building wall and not enough room for a crush barrier.
I am just happy I won't have to move from my reserve seat because of segregation.

There are all sorts of different challenges and changes to be made in the ground.

The issue of 'quadrants' that IR is referring to they are working with the SAG on.

Even when we were last in the league 50 years ago, there was nothing like the regulations I would imagine.

Could some seats be put in the Steelworks End and only those with a ticket for a seat be allowed into the area? Maybe 2 or 3 rows

No idea whether that's possible (financially or practically ) but it certainly won't happen in the short term. All I can say is the board/contractors/volunteers are working hard on all of it.

There are a thousand things to do, some we will love, others we'll have to get used to. It's the price of success.

Ground capacity will be up overall though. Plenty of teams have had one end shut when they've been refurbishing the ground. We'll come out the other end better. Might just have to live with some inconvenience for 1 season.

Also worth noting Morecambes old stadium was bought by sainsburys for a hefty price.

Also I believe that Boston Utd’s new ground is council owned same as many other if the new stadiums throughout the leagues with the club as anchor tenants, the BoD would not have to fund the whole project themselves, it would require outside investment. It’s a well worn path that many clubs have had to go down I believe the council would be supportive and it could well be the centre piece of any docks redevelopment.
It just needs to will to do it and the belief that we CAN do it.

Honest, these things have all been discussed, never mind a marina, a community stadium as the crown jewel of docks redevelopment would serve far better to the town than a marina (who owns these yachts anyway?) etc, this debate goes back to 2007.

Will supporters be allowed to stand on the west terrace without crush barriers, if that area is also closed along with the steelworks end it`s going to be well packed in the rest of the ground.

I know it's no one's fault but without any fans in the steelworks end it's going to destroy a lot of the atmosphere in the ground, we normally attack that end in the second half hope something can be sorted soon.
