If you stand at the very far corner at the back of the new Holker End you have a pretty clear view of the goals and the far corner flag.
The stanctions aren't too wide and you get a pretty good view, things aren't bad as they're made out to be

The concern was about supporters sat down in the seats. However, when l have been in seated stadiums you’re up and down all the time anyway; seems to be a natural reaction.

Great job done regarding the HS roof. looks brill. congrats to all concerned. Im 63, and never thought seriously i would see us back in EFl in my life time. Never thought i waould see a roof on HS in my life time. So im living the dream. Please stop moaning about stanctions and just rejoice. Were more stanctions under old HS roof. Just move your head when needs be like we always did. jeezzzzzzzz.. END THE NONSENCE FOR GAWD SAKE.

There’s no way the houses across the road would allow for a 2 tier stand to be built at the HSE

The achievement in the new roof is less what it looks like and more that it has been done at all. Its a big part of that process of renewal and development of HS that many of us thought had long gone. It actually makes HS look more complete as a ground so its importance goes well beyond its architectural merit.

In terms of its look you have to bear in mind that its sitting on top of an ancient terrace and has had to accommodate the existing ground dimensions. You could have knocked it all down and built a 21st century award winning stand but even if that were possible it would've cost millions.

So its not that surprising that you end up with a structure that is very neat and sturdy but looks a little "retro". The canted roof will ensure that those standing at the back will still have a view. Ideally there are too many stantions but as we know they are required to take the weight of the roof. Without them the project would not have worked. Its a great achievement.

Looks fantastic. Yes a few more posts than ideally wanted but that could not be helped. The whole place looks better for that roof. The spruce up to the blue and white on the other stands makes a huge difference. Well done to the board and us fans for all the effort gone in. Let's use this little old ground to our advantage. Let the arrogant big clubs mock us and watch them fall. We know where we've come from, we know how it feels to come back from the presapis. Can't wait to hear the Holker end roar.

There are stanchions in our stand, and yes they sometimes can be a pain, but if you are able to move your head from side to side, that is mitigated.
Even if it's technically possible to put up a cantilever stand the cost would be enormous.
The changes going on at the moment throughout the ground are great and all concerned should be proud of their contribution.
I can't wait to be cheering on the lads again, stanchions or no stanchions.

Simple...stand in the rain if you dont like the view I went past yesterday and It looks fantastic well done everyone involved for the investment

I don't think anyone is 'moaning' as such as that would be ridiculous. It's just that situation when you have a new asset be it a house, house extension, car, bicycle etc. you discuss the pros and cons with friends, relatives, peer groups etc.

Case study: A mate of mine bought a Porsche during his latest mid-life crisis; it's a thing of beauty without a doubt. When he's not prowling round town in it, it is in his garage with a shroud on it. He went away recently on a long-haul 'staycation', I asked if he went in the Porsche he said "You're joking the fuel bill would have been horrendous in that thing, we went in her (his partner) Vauxhall'.
