Derby County
Re: Derby County
I see BBC match stats give Derby 17 shots to Barrow's 4. I must have missed quite a bit of the action.
Re: Derby County
very encouraged by that, echo the positive comments on here.
Hope the injuries arent serious, noticed Jones pulled up at the end as well, could be our entire back 5 out.
Was that Dave Fevre ex Man Utd and Blackburn as our physio?
He could be in for a busy week.

Re: Derby County
A very good defensive performance indeed. Only 1/3 of possession, but were never once run ragged or cut to pieces. There was a definite game plan and everyone played their part without exception. James Jones looked excellent. Against League 2 sides I hope we are able to show a cutting edge as well. If so we will be a threat.

Re: Derby County
I thought they said during commentary that Fevre was here "for a few months" or something like that and that his involvement showed we were going about things in the right way
Don't let the old man in.

Think we’ve won a few admirers today, our own fans included.

Re: Derby County
Two friends - one a Derby season ticket holder, the other a Bradford season ticket holder - were both impressed with how we went about it and thought we got it spot on except for the spot kicks of course. The Bradford guy is reassessing his "easy 6 points" view.
Don't let the old man in.
Re: Derby County
Much more bothered about next week’s league opener against Stevenage. Hopefully today’s performance gave the squad a boost of confidence, to prove they’re more than capable to compete in League 2

Re: Derby County
Apart from the first ten/fifteen minutes and very late on (where we did come under a lot of pressure) I thought we easily matched them for the rest of the game. We also looked really organised throughout the match, very pleasing to see.
Three fantastic chances that you wouldn’t have hoped/expected, that at least one could have been converted.
Six or seven quite poor penalties but the players have done us proud there. Lots to be positive about.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Re: Derby County
There is a league cup highlights show tonight at 9Pm on quest which is available on freeview
Thought we played well today, think Quigley would have taken one of those chances, we were well organised feel more confident about the season now

Re: Derby County
I thought Hindle was unlucky with his chances. He did the right thing with the first, chipping it, but it curled left of the post. With the second, he did very well to make the space for a shot (the only person that did in the whole match I believe), which again went just wide.
