Not bothered about that game if I’m honest.

Re: Derby County
We should pick a team to go out to win each game and not distract players with thoughts that 'this game doesn' t matter so much'.
Fringe players will get their chance as we continue to build a winning attitude and side.

Re: Derby County
Garbage lost 2 quality players to injury work the fringe squad give the lads a rest they where spent at the end off that game. What matters is next Sat you play that team again mid week and you are picking up a mountain off injuries.
All opinions expressed are my own , not here to cause kick off just enact debate.
Re: Derby County
Not garbage at all, if these players have anything about them, then they will want to play, and win every game..
Re: Derby County
Even in a pointless trophy that is the Football League equivalent of the Lancashire Cup? No club cares about this nonsense competition anymore. We'd be daft not to utilise the reserves.
Re: Derby County
So you want a not arsed team who won't compete at any level but league level? Mate today we did a fantastic job, get gone with that attitude or you'll be disappointed all season.

Re: Derby County
I agree. The injuries today show just how easily you can lose key players and we don't have the squad to risk losing any more. The important competitions for us are the league and to a lesser extent the FA Cup.

Re: Derby County
Thanks for the heads up on the highlights as I didn't see the live game.
Some flattering comments from the pundits regarding us and a cheeky little quiz question "who are the only two sides Derby have failed to score against this year---Barrow and Manchester United"
Re: Derby County
An excellent defensive performance by the lads ... organised , held their shape well ... more to do in terms of creativity and finishing,of course , but they have a solid base on which to build . Could be an interesting season if we can add a little more firepower. Pity about the injuries ...let's hope they are not too damaging .
First match : Barrow v Northampton Town : Sat. 24th Sept. 1960 ... won 1-0... ( which was nice )
Re: Derby County
Did ourselves proud and created the most clear cut chances in the game. Defended resolutely when under the cosh too! Hopefully won a few fans over with the way we played and no disgrace with a penalty lottery.
Great to mingle with some likeminded supporters again with a well organised event at the club and thankful to those who put the hard work in to accommodate us all

Re: Derby County
Any idea on how much dough we get for being the live game? Is it anything substantial or small fry in the grand scheme of things? All counts I suppose.
Oh and superb today to a man well done all, proud day.

Re: Derby County
No worries then hadrian when you have more players pulling up with muscle injuries such as we seen , they need a rest mid week to go again that mid week game is pointless they where absolutely wrecked at the end off and if you could nt see that you are stupid the lads where virtually stood still the last 5 mins knackered

Only 2 teams have prevented Derby County scoring this calendar year.
Barrow and Manchester United.
