Re: Cambridge v Barrow match thread
Easily the best performance of the season. Controlled the match from start to finish but still lack a player in midfield who can split an opposing defence with a pass. However, should be able to beat most teams in this league once Hardcastle is back in midfield with Mike Jones and Jason Taylor. Blame for their goal down to both Sam Hird and Joel Dixon both who apart from that played very well, IMO. We just have to stop giving these soft goals away as it's costing us badly. Strange decision to take Brough was brought off unless he was injured. Seemed a waste of a potentially attacking substitute. Cambridge played just as we normally do when we're ahead which is stop trying to attack at all and they paid for it as we often have done! Jason Taylor and Matt Platt pick of the team for me today.

Really great football today , for me Matty platt was superb , there forwards never got passed him once .
Taylor , jones kay played well , but another howler from hird.
To put keeper under so much pressure .
Come on davie dunn's blue and white army

Big goal and result too. Everyone below us bar Oldham picked up points today.
Popular side since '03.

But I think the bigger issue is failure to convert chances.
However, Could be a turning point today . Great endeavour, belief and thoroughly deserved. Well done DD

Had to register with Cambridge to watch 2nd half.
Excellent Cambridge commentators who were very knowledgeable and complimentary - 'Barrow are the best side to come here this season'.

Saw goal on Sky Sports it was excellent.. Must cut those errors out. But we need to be more ruthless in front of goal as well. We chased a game we should not have been chasing if we'd put our chances away their goal would have just been a consolation goal.

Great Performance.
Silly mistake
Utterly dominant (should have won) and a team to be proud of.
Not too bad at all this, a far cry from Vauxhall Motors. Wish I was on the bus now celebrating a brave and hugely deserved point.

Starting to come together now. Dunn/Kelly looking a shrewd appointment ... ??
Re: Cambridge v Barrow match thread
How many goals have our forwards scored in league games this season? I think it's four - James 1 and Dior 3 but two of those were pens. Could be wrong but we really need to have a finisher hope Quigley is the answer - he needs that first goal now. Reason why Cambridge are up there is because Mullins has been scoring for them. It makes a hell of a difference - at any level of football.

It’s a real shame the Oldham game isn’t this Tuesday; lads will be buzzing after that
On the flip side another week for Quigley to get fully fit
