All well and good but the table and results says otherwise. You don’t get points for that.ossickbluebird wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 10:02 pm It was a very poor performance tonight of that there is no doubt, but opposition managers don't say we are one of the best teams they've played for nothing!
Dunns interview is very unaspiring he seems to accept it. His 15% W ratio says enough.

Looking back on the challenge on Barry looked like a clear stamp by Rowe I think!

It was downbeat and deflated - which was how we all felt. You would have complained if he had bounced in and said we were great but unlucky.LewisBAFC1901 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 10:26 pm Dunns interview is very unaspiring he seems to accept it. His 15% W ratio says enough.

He also barged Platt into the boundary wall, which could have caused a nasty injury. He dressed like the pantomime villain - all black including leggings and gloves. Obviously trying to make a statement.
Re: Barrow v Oldham match thread
I thought the same for both challenges bet if quigs had done the same would have been sent off
Re: Barrow v Oldham match thread
A plus point for me last night was Quigley getting off the Mark his first league goal of his career which I was surprised about thought he would have scored before will give him confidence and made a couple of nice runs still a bit of his best but if he can get another 90 mins on Thursday will be well on the way with getting his match fitness

I personally thought bar his goal he was poor, like the rest gave the ball away softly numerous times and constantly gives needless free kicks away. Agreed great to see him score and get off the mark but his performance away from that wasn’t good enough in my opinion.

I thought that too (as I did for the Forest Green game as well). There were odd flashes of the danger he can cause (eg when he worked his way along the goal line, although his final pass didn't find anyone), but overall he wasn't as effective as we are used to seeing.mickycarrol wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 8:52 amsambino wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 8:37 am A plus point for me last night was Quigley getting off the Mark his first league goal of his career which I was surprised about thought he would have scored before will give him confidence and made a couple of nice runs still a bit of his best but if he can get another 90 mins on Thursday will be well on the way with getting his match fitness

Think you will usually find the opposition Managers saying we one of the best teams they played because we let them back into games from winning positions.ossickbluebird wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 10:02 pm It was a very poor performance tonight of that there is no doubt, but opposition managers don't say we are one of the best teams they've played for nothing! Oldham had some decent players and I'd be surprised if they aren't in the play-offs.
Too many players had a bad night, James very quiet, J. Taylor seemed to lack energy, Platt defended well but distribution was poor.
Players play in L2 because there quality can be very inconsistent and tonight too many players played poorly.
Man city 0 Tottenham 2 , Man City possession 69% Tottenham 31% shots on goal 3 ,it's about execution when you have the ball.

We're not physically strong enough you can tell because every time someone tackles one of our players they need treatment or need to go off , every team we've played are big strong lads ours just get knocked off the ball too easily.
