The players know when they have not played well, do your think they went out to play poorly. The majority on here can not wait to blame because of a good year last year and they can’t let go. Morale is low but you need to back your team, you need to believe they will come good because at the moment they have no manager, the fans on here are not backing them so is it any wonder we are not winning games. Last season has gone, stop finding every fault in the players and back them, otherwise nothing will change.

you have obviously not supported the club for long (if ever) but if you can't distinguish between frustration and bitter disappointment as to how this season has so far panned out then read on, I think most people expected us to be about half way not fighting a relegation battle!
yes I and others have criticised tactics selection recruitment and even the board who i know have transformed our club but don't come on here trying to blame us its ridiculous, I go to every home game and support the team with encouragement etc I even complained about booing the team (which I can understand) but I and a few hundred others stopped at the end and clapped the players even after losing against Salford!

I actually made a point of counting the tackles made by our midfield players tonight. Although Jason Taylor's lack of pace was all too obvious tonight he still made plenty of tackles. I counted 1 by Chris Taylor and 0 by Biggins. I may have missed the odd one but wasn't far out.
In the first half we were definitely the better team but the few attacks they had were all started by running through a non-existent midfield until they met either Jason Taylor or the back 3! In the second half we stopped that by plonking most of our midfield and forwards just in front of what was by then a back 5 with the results that we had hardly an attack for the whole of the second half.
The fact that Rob Kelly brought on 3 subs but didn't replace any of the 3 central midfield players already tells me that he isn't suitable to be our next manager.
I disagree with many of the comments re certain players.
IMO, Matt Platt was easily the outstanding player in the team. I agree his distribution was awful (what happened to the runs forward with the ball and the short passes played to the other central defenders and midfield players under Evatt? Could be that any short passes to our current midfield players are likely to be lost and put the defenders in danger.) but he didn't miss a tackle or a header all night and defended manfully.
Hird, Wilson and Brough were also solid enough at the back. We struggled against their left side in the first half when Josh Kay was over there but a lot more in the second half when Biggins and Beadling were together.
I still thought Kay was a mixture of good and awful as was Quigley who uninspiring as he was was the only forward player who even managed an attempt on goal but I thought Angus was dreadful and did nothing. He and Biggins are probably 2 of the weakest professional footballers I've seen. A gust of wind would be enough to knock either off the ball.
When they got the free kick in injury time, I said to my son that it was just about the time we normal give away a goal and, of course, it happened again. I'm afraid the blame has to go to Josh Kay who didn't bother to mark his opposite wing back and gave him a clear header.
All in all a dire performance against an equally dire team!

Don’t think there will be a problem fitting the extra 400 people in the ground this weekend !Be able to take place of the disillusioned who stay at home.What makes it worse is turning on radio to hear how well Carlisle are doing and then that Bolton have won again.Even our midweek and away raffle sums are lower tho we are near Christmas now so we have lots of commitments.Need improved performances quick or the fickle element of support won’t bother to come see our team or new improved ground.

Thought we did ok first half rode our luck a little at times. Second half showing was poor we looked like we were holding out for the draw from the off and but for an awful naive free kick conceded and some woeful defending at the back post we could of achieved it! No papering over the cracks people’s attitudes have to change, sure a few will be shipped out come January if at all possible and hopefully the new manager whoever that may be in the coming days get’s the right blend in and we give them our utmost support and it will take us ALL behind them and the players for the remainder of the season as survival this season could be our sternest test yet and shape our future as a club.

Dismal effort all round against poor opposition.
Haven’t yet worked out if we have a poor set of players who aren’t good enough for this league, and/or that Dunn and Kelly couldn’t/can’t get them to play.
If it’s the former we have a real battle up until May, subject to the transfer window. If the latter PLEASE let us have someone who has an idea how to win matches in L2. Appalling really that we have lost 5 on the trot.
There were lots of poor performances, particularly in the second half. After James came on I can’t remember him touching the ball ONCE. What is that all about?

I have to say that Rob Kelly's post-match interview made me think he just wanted to be out of it ASAP. Perhaps that transmits to the players. We have a team whose confidence is shot and the ones on the pitch who are still doing their best to hold things together must be losing heart. I am beginning to feel the same!

1st half: 7/10
2nd half: 0/10

I could not believe the difference in the halves, 1st half there was pressing, there was urgency and there was endeavour. Where the camera was it was funny because whenever the ball came out to their right they seemed to have time but then Brough suddenly appeared in shot and no time on the ball at all and that was happening all over the pitch.

2nd half was a non-entity, I am shocked that we held out so long but the goal was always coming. Lazy passes, lazy passing, lazy tackles, lazy clearances, lazy, lazy, lazy. Now I am not saying the players went out in the 2nd half purposefully giving up but that it is what it looked like.

The substitutions were also lazy, how Biggins was on the pitch at the end I have no idea. One of the weakest performances by an individual in a very long time. Beadling should have come on for one of the Taylors to give us a bit of freshness in the middle. I don't even think it was a hard decision, we can all be managers at home but it was, for me, an easy decision to take of. As wasteful Angus was at times there was still a connection and link up with Quigley that could have been dangerous against their defenders who because of that switch had it easy with our long balls towards James.

I usually sleep on results and wake up trying to find the positives but today I really can’t. As people have said, the first half we were alright. Played okay, did some good pressing, scored a goal etc but second half was just so lifeless.

All the fan fair of Rob Kelly’s arrival is now looking a little premature. Not sure why people thought his influence would change anything, he and Dunn worked out the team and the tactics together; we have only removed one part of that. Get some senior players in charge for Saturday and start afresh. Fresh mindset, fresh ideas... fresh players! We have a large squad let’s use it to our advantage until we can get the walking wounded back. Give Sea a go, give Gribbin a go - shake it up and see why happens because last night Dunn may as well have been in charge, nothing has changed at all.

Easy! Do it - get shut of him now - as that attitude is coming across to the players, which is what we saw second half last night. Get a couple of players for now or Craig Rutherford. Couldn’t do any worse!

Yep, what was worrying last night was the number of players who didnt seem to have the stomach for a fight, something the new guy will need to address ASAP.
